Masquerade Tour Stop

Posted by 34 Comments

I am honored to have Cambria Hebert, author of Masquerade, drop by Xpresso Reads today for a very interesting guest post: She’s going to announce her dream cast for the characters in Masquerade as well as a fantastic giveaway that you do NOT want to miss!

Before we begin, let’s see what Masquerade is all about:

Release date: December 16th, 2011

Before. Everything was so much better Before. I wasn’t haunted by nightmares, my place at school was secure and my face was flawless. Now, I’m a freak and everything has changed. The worst part is that I can’t remember the night I was sentenced to the shadows. The memory has been stolen from me and I just can’t shake the feeling that someone, something is out there -watching.

Just when I think I have my life handled, Sam, with his intimidating golden stare and shiver inducing voice, makes me realize that I don’t know anything. He makes me see that my scars don’t matter. That they never mattered. I can’t help but fall for him, completely unknowing that he knows exactly how I got this way. Not knowing he was involved.
***

Heven has no idea how closely death stalks her. She has no idea what I have done to keep her alive. I fear the day she learns my secrets, finds out what I really am. But even then I cannot stop, I vow to make things right. Finally her hunter will be hunted, Heaven and Hell, faith and sin will battle, and we will be victorious. But first, Heven must learn to be what she never imagined. I know her strength is there – I feel it. If we are to overcome all odds, she must push past her flaws – her frailties – to become much more.

You can get Before, the prequel to Masquerade, for FREE until January 31st!

Without further ado, I’m giving the floor to Cambria.

Hey Peeps!
I am so glad to be here today at this most awesome blog! So Giselle has asked me to do a unique sort of post… If Masquerade was ever made into a movie (that would be cool, lol) who would I want to play the cast??

Let me tell you this is not an easy decision! In fact, I have been having trouble coming up with people! LOL. But as they say in Hollywood: The show must go on! (they do say that don’t they?) And so I will give you my ideas for the cast of characters…

Heven:
I have thought of quite a few actresses for this role – and really no one sticks out over the other. I really think that whoever would play Heven will really have to nail her personality and her gestures (the way she hides and tries to be invisible). But… here are two actresses that I think have the right look for Hev :

Candice Accola
as Heven

This is Candice Accola she currently plays Caroline on The Vampire Diaries. I think she has the perfect innocent yet “sexy without really trying” look. She has a great look and I really like watching her on VD.

OR

Another girl I thought about to play Heven is:

Amanda Seyfreid
as Heven

You have seen her in a ton of movies like Red Riding Hood.
Both girls are beautiful and I think they could play the part well.

Sam:
Now how about Sam?? The resident hottie! I only have one guy in mind for him – though there are a ton of hotties out there but this is who I think would be good:

Cam Gigandent
as Sam

Do I really need to say anything else about this… fine piece – I mean this very nice looking gentleman??

Kimber:
The girl I think would make a good Kimber:

Emma Roberts as Kimber, Heven’s best friend

Emma Roberts. Recenlty seen in Scream 4.
I think she has a good look and carries off red hair well.

Cole:
How about Cole?
He’s been really tough for me to decide and I almost didn’t put anyone because the guy I do like is also on the Vampire Diaries – yeah – I already picked someone off that show as part of the cast (obsess much? Lol) but hey its my book and my pretend movie so there! LOL. Here’s who I think makes a great Cole:

Michael Trevino
as Cole

Its Tyler from VD. AKA Michael Trevino (that’s his real name)

OR

Another possible guy I thought of? That dude from teen wolf. He’s HOTT! AKA: Tyler Hoechlin.

Tyler Hoechlin
as Cole

So there you have it. My picks for who would make a great cast for Masquerade if it ever became a movie.  But you know, there are probably some great unknown actors out there who would make a great character as well…. I’m really open to anyone as long as they look the part.

So who do YOU think would make a great Heven, Sam, Kimber or Cole? Agree with my choices or not so much? Tell us what YOU think!!

Thanks so much Giselle for having me by Xpresso Reads today!

I don’t know about you, but I think that cast is awesome! I love every one of them and they’re just as I pictured them – especially Kimber she has that sassy look that Emma Roberts can nail!
Thanks so much for dropping by Cambria I had a BLAST getting to know you and I can’t wait to see the rest of the tour!

 Cambria’s Website / Goodreads / Twitter / Facebook

Cambria Hebert is an author who wrote her first book at the age of fifteen. It was terrible. But the passion for writing never went away so years later when she opened her laptop and started typing she worked until she wrote a book -Masquerade- that she hopes everyone will be as excited about as she is. Cambria is obsessed with werewolves and is terrified of chickens (they are creepy!) She is an animal lover that would choose coffee over food and her favorite TV show is the Vampire Diaries (Hell-O Damon!) When she isn’t writing you can find her stalking the young adult aisles at Barnes and Noble.

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out…
