In My Mailbox (26)

Posted by

“In My Mailbox” is a meme, created by Kristi at The Story Siren, that features books I have

received/ purchased/ borrowed during the week.

How are all my lovely peeps? Hope you didn’t forget to change your clocks! It’s almost spring! Know what this means? HUNGER GAMES in less than 2 weeks! *dies* It will be epic! So in case you missed it, I’m celebrating reaching 2000 followers here! I also had the Embrace Blog Tour drop by on Friday. You can find my review, a sweet guest post, and a giveaway here.

Questions for me?

I registered for this a while back to follow Story Siren, but more people are using it now so I thought I’d let you know I’m on Formspring. If you ever have any questions or want any advice, I’ll help to the best of my ability! You can even ask anonymously without registering. Find me here: http://www.formspring.me/Giselleco (and the icon is found on the top of my sidebar), of course you can always email instead. =)

This week I received some wonderful books for review. Have a look (click on cover or title links for Goodreads):

Life Is But a Dream by Brian James (I’m reading this now and it’s really good!)
I also got a super sweet message from Heather in my book, <3 her!
*A big big thank you to Heather McCorkle, Scholastic Canada, Raincoast Books, Flux Books, Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, and Penguin Publishing for the review copies.*

What pretties did you get this week?

I got Innocent Darkness and Shadow and Bone too. Shadow and Bone I read already and loved!
Heather’s so sweet! She left me a nice message too. 🙂

How is it that I’ve been pining for Shadow & Bone and haven’t noticed it on NetGalley?!? Thanks for bringing it to my attention! I can’t wait to read it!

And, oh, Above, how crazy awesome is that that you have a copy! 😀

    Have an amazing reading week!

I don’t know how you have time to read so many! I suppose that you are a fast reader? Or are you just someone that reads every waking moment? xD

I’m really interested in reading Above so I can’t wait for it to come out here in Australia – and for me to have some time free from schoolwork to be able to read it!

    Awesome haul this week!

I love your mailboxes more and more each week Giselle! I always find cool books to put on my list 🙂 Channler’s Choice looks lovely and so The Night She Disappeared looks like a really good one too. I have my eye on Innocent Darkness, Above and Shadow and Bone but I’m still thinking about picking them or not. I’ll probably wait until your reviews go up. And ooh! Life is But A Dream! I enjoyed that one very much. Hope you do too. Happy reading <3

I’ve not heard of Life Is But A Dream before, but I read the goodreads summary and it sounds intense! Definitely added to my list, I just want to know what happens from the summary.

Jealous of Above and Smoke and Bone, I keep seeing a lot of bloggers getting review copies and it makes me want to read them sooner! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them 🙂

Look at all of those fantastic books. After the Snow and Life Is But a Dream sound really good. So cool that you got a signed copy of Channeler’s Choice.

I can’t wait to start THE SUMMER MY LIFE BEGAN and really need to get a copy of ABOVE. Not really sure whether to request SHADOW AND BONE – the “weird” summary makes me think that it could be a book like DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE, something that doesn’t sound too appealing to me but might turn out to be a really awesome read. 😀

    Have a lovely week!
