Waiting on Wednesday (31)

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies….


I wish I could go back and do a thousand things differently.
I'd tell my sister no.
I'd never beg my mother to talk to my dad.
I'd zip my lips and swallow those hateful words.
Or, barring all of that, I'd hug my sister, my mom and my dad one last time.
I'd tell them I love them.
I wish... Yeah, I wish.

Do I even need to explain why I'm dying to read this? I mean, zombies! I know, RIGHT?

  5. Gena Showalter's LOTU is one of my favorite series. I can't wait to see what her YA book is like! And the cover is gorgeous!

  22. I am loving all the hype around Alice in Zombieland! I'm not sure if its because I love the movie Alice in Wonderland (starring Johnny Depp) or the fact that is about zombies. Maybe its both! xD

  39. Definitely sounds intriguing. I know it might sound weird, but I don't actually like the name of the book. Only you have it here, I doubt I would have ever read the blurb with a name like that. But, I have and it sounds good, so I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing Giselle.

  69. I adore the Alice in Zombieland cover. It helps that I love 3 things about the book already:
    1. Alice in Wonderland is great!
    2. Gena Showalter is one of my favourite PNR authors!
    3. Zombies are just awesome!

    I love the pooffy dress and the little skulls in the border. Thumbs up to the artist who designed it and his/her attention to detail.

    "Off with their heads." -- I love it!

  70. I dont know why this one looks so good to me. I hated alice and wonderland, it was boring as shit. So you would think anything that references that, even in just a title I would stay away. Nope.

    maybe it's the thought that dumb annoying alice will get eaten by zombie at last! yes! I hope it's a blood bath. Not a good dress choice Alice. with all those flesh hungry ghouls.. I certianly woudln't have worn white.

  74. I love the cover for this one! Its very pretty and she looks like Taylor Swift! :) I will say though, that I'm not really into zombies. So, reading this one would be a stretch for me - but I do like to leave my comfort zone once in a while :)
