Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

Emi Gayle
Release date: October 31st, 2012
by J. Taylor Publishing
What eighteen year old Mac Thorne doesn’t know will probably kill her.
In exactly eight months, five days, three hours and thirteen minutes, Mac has to choose what she’ll be for the rest of her life.
She has no choice but to pick. As a Changeling, it’s her birthright. To Mac, it’s a birthchore. Like going to school with humans, interacting with humans, and pretending to be human during the pesky daylight hours.
Once darkness descends, Mac can change into any supernatural form that exists — which makes her as happy as she can be. That is, until Winn Thomas, the biggest geek in her senior class figures out there’s more to what hides in the dark than most are willing to acknowledge.
In this first of the 19th Year Trilogy, Winn might know more about Mac than even she does, and that knowledge could end their lives, unless Mac ensures the powers-that-be have no choice but to keep him around.
I was first attracted to this by the cover as soon as I saw it on Goodreads, and it sounds like a different take on the shifter/changeling lore so I'm super intrigued by it.
What's are you waiting on?
Link me up! :)
I haven't heard of this one but it looks really fascinating! The cover is very attention grabbing too. Going to add it to my tbr pile. Thanks for bringing my attention to it. Happy reading!

This one sounds awesome and I really like the cover. I also like that the protagonist is older, since you don't see much of that in YA. Great pick :)
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like an interesting take on shifters. I wonder what she will pick and what Winn knows that she doesn't.

I really like the cover too. I'm wondering if there is romance in this? I like my books with elements of romance somewhere in the plot.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really one for the changeling element in books, but I like the aspect that she can change into any supernatural being - opens up tons of possibilities!

ReplyDeleteTara's WoW and Giveaway
I actually like the fact that it's about an eighteen year old girl! Most of the times, they are like 16, so that surprises me.
ReplyDeleteChoose what you'll be the rest for your life.. sounds fascinating.
Great pick, this one is new to me and I love the cover!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
First of all, I LOVE that for once it's not the "what they don't know won't kill them." Nope, in this case, it quite literally will kill her. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso love that the love interest is not, for once, the mysterious, brooding, snarky boy. That'll be more than a little bit refreshing. Definitely adding this to my TBR list.
Ohh, I just saw this for the first time earlier!! I'm soooo curious. o: Seriously, it's scary how quickly I get desperate to read books... LOL.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a thrilling read, and a nice break from all the vampires at the moment!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Renae @ Rolling with the Moments
After seeing this on several people's WoW's, I really think I need to check it out! Most of the feelings about the cover I'm getting have been lukewarm, but I have to admit I really like it and it'd definitely make me pick it up on a shelf. I haven't read too much about changelings, but the plot sounds great too! Great choice :)
ReplyDeleteMy WoW can be found here! :)
Ooh, I haven't seen this around, but the cover definitely intrigues me. It drew me in and I read the summary and wow! I'll definitely have to add it to my TBR!
