Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (4)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books
I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week
.

So how is everyone this lovely Sunday? We’ve gotten great weather here so I’m super happy. Did you miss anything on the blog this week? Well, there was the fabulous Jen Calonita who dropped by for an interview – check it out here. I’m also co-hosting a chat party on June 1st with one of my BFFs Kara from Great Imaginations, come join the fun! Here’s the party announcement. And make sure you get your last entries for the Something Strange and Deadly ARC giveaway – it ends on Friday!

This week I reviewed:
The Princesses of Iowa by M. Molly Backes
Awaited by Lynn Rush
Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
The Weepers: The Other Life by Susanne Winnacker

I got for review (click on cover for Goodreads):
I only got 2 books this week, I’m actually glad to finally have a small haul, I was able to do some catching up! And I’m super excited for both of these titles which I was highly anticipating.

Short and sweet, lovelies!
What pretties did you get this week?

Hey, HEY, hey. This is your lovely co-host just stopping in to say HI! Glad you got caught up last week. That’s what I’ve been trying to do for weeks. And failing miserably. But there is always alcohol to dull the pain. Join us on June 1st to drown in your review pile sorrows at 9 PM EST. LOL!

  2. Maja (The Nocturnal Library)

I need to go check out The Circle of Silence, it looks really interesting. Pushing the Limits is contemporary so I think I’ll wait to read quite a few raving reviews before picking it up. Me and contemp are never going to be best friends, that’s for sure.
    Have a great week, Giselle!

great books! 😀 Circle of Silence looks interesting, I hadn’t heard of it, though I picked up Pushing the Limits as well 🙂 Hope you enjoy them 😀

    My Haul

  4. Carina

I am soooo very excited for these, too – especially PUSHING THE LIMITS though. It sounds soooo amazing and I can’t wait to delve into it. 🙂

    Happy reading, my dear! 🙂

  5. Rebecca (Kindle Fever)

Oh, Pushing the Limits looks so awesome. o: I’m super curious about it! I don’t recognize Circle of Silence though, but I’m definitely curious about it as well. Hope you enjoy them both!

Catching up sounds so wonderful! I so hope my stupid illness-thing is passing, so I can finally catch up with my schedule too. I need it o:

Circle of Silence looks really interesting! Having a small haul definitely isn’t bad. My to-read pile never seems to get any smaller only bigger!

The party sounds great but 9pm EST is like 1am here, haha. I will try though! 🙂

Nice haul this week, chickadee! Pushing the Limits seems to be on everyone’s shelves this week – I am seriously slacking 😉 I’ve not heard of Code of Silence before, but it looks great! I will definitely keep an eye on that one.

I cannot WAIT for that chat party on June 1st! You know I’ll be there, ready to rock it out 😉

Hope you enjoy your lovelies and that you’re able to make bigger dent in your TBR pile. Love your face!

Circle of silence cover looks creepy and awesome I see another person with pushing the limits I think the universe is telling me i should request this book, lol. I hope enjoy them both. Click on my name to see my IMM.

I am still playing catch up, but I think I am finally getting there. Pushing the Limits sounds so good, but I don’t know if I can fit it in. I am auto approved for Harlequin through NetGalley, so if I have time I can just get it and read it. The chat sounds fun!! I will be there!

I’m still playing catch up too. I’m always impresses and amazed at how and Kimba get 4 and 5 reviews done each week. How do you do it? O_o

    Enjoy!

  11. Candace

Ive heard Pushing the Limits is really good!
Having a week with fewer books coming in is good sometimes. Since I don’t do an IMM anymore I don’t pay attention so much, but I think I only got one book this week and it was from paperbackswap so I don’t need to hurry to read it.

I know sometimes I wish I get a small amount of books too, I have so many to catch up on too! I got Pushing the Limit too can’t wait to start it. Also Circle of Silence sounds amazing too! Happy reading! 🙂

  13. John The Bookworm

I’m quite excited for both of the books you got – Harlequin Teen publishes great books, and I loved the first book in Tanzman’s WiHi series of connected books, dancergirl. 🙂 Hope you enjoy them – I look forward to the reviews.

I hope Pushing the Limits is better than it seems. It also has dual narrative which I’m really looking forward to. Happy reading!
