Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (34)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.
This week at Xpresso Reads

First, I’m sure every single one of us has a broken heart this weekend. It’s impossible to even express how devastating it feels to hear about all these beautiful little kids’ lives that ended much too soon. My heart goes out to the families of these angels and everyone affected by his tragedy.

I really enjoyed The Devil’s Metal and just finished Darkhouse, Halle is becoming a new favorite of mine. I like the contrast between her humor and horror.

Eeep YAY for Imaginary Girls! Can’t wait to see what you think.

I really need to get started on Halle’s EIT series, though I have to admit I kind of want to read The Devil’s Metal first. I have seen it compared, quite a few times, to Almost Famous and that is one of my all time fav movies. It’s all happening!

Edelweiss had tons of great books this week and it looks like you snagged lots of goodies, The Madman’s Scientist, Pretty Girl 13 and Mind Games all sound epic, I will definitely be looking out for your updates on them! Also you’ve reminded me I really need to get to my copy of Imaginary Girls asap! I hope you enjoy all your reads! πŸ™‚

I held off on The Madman’s Daughter and Wasteland because I don’t know if I will have time for them. (but yay! all of them are available to download for me so I can decide later!) My review for The Devil’s Metal goes up Tuesday. I really liked it!! I am so sad for all the families affected by the shooting. My heart goes out to all of them.

I went holy crap when I saw your Harper haul, and then remembered you now have the magic download button on Edelweiss. You’re so lucky! (Except I suck at reading digital stuff anyway, so WHATEVER.)
