Cinder Blog Tour: Meet Iko + Giveaway

Posted by

Having just read Cinder a few weeks ago and loving it, I was excited to be a part of this tour, hosted by Mac Teen Books, where all the stops focus on a particular character, and on my stop today we’ve got a little bio on Iko! And of course a lot of extra goodies including a giveaway!

Cinder
Marissa Meyer
Series: Lunar Chronicles, #1
Publication date: January 8th (pbk)

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

Meet Iko!

Though at nearly twenty years old Iko had been considered ancient for an android, she’s always been young at heart. With fantasies that included sparkly shoes, tiaras, and that charming Prince Kai, Iko always had more in common with Cinder’s giggly stepsister, Peony, than Cinder herself.
But now Iko’s android body has been disassembled and sold off by Cinder’s heartless stepmother Adri, and her effervescent personality has been relegated to a tiny computer chip. It’s up to Cinder to find a new body and revive Iko if she can, but it remains to be seen if Iko can adapt to the distinctly un-luxurious life of a criminal. After all, neither android treads nor fancy high heels are practical when you’re on the run from the law.

I loved Cinder. I listened to it on audio and it was fantastic. I already have my copy of Scarlet pre-ordered! Yay! (Stupid amazon isn’t shipping it until March though with another book I pre-ordered. That’s what I get for wanting free shipping lol!)
