Welcome Jenni to Xpresso Reads!

Oh em gee! Right? Yep there are some big changes for this new year at Xpresso Reads and I’m incredibly excited to announce this news. I’m sure you all know her and adore her already: Jenni from Alluring Reads is joining Xpresso Reads!

I have been thinking for a while now that I would like to be working with a co-blogger, but after having run a blog for 2 years by myself it’s hard to imagine having to share blogging with someone else. Not because I didn’t want to, but I’ve always been anxious about changes in routine and life in general and it’s quite a huge step to make for both of us. Jenni and I met 2 years ago when this blog was only a couple of months old. We soon became very close friends – and I mean I’m as close with her as I am with some of my childhood friends. My husband even calls her my wife, kind of close. So if I would be co-blogging with anyone it had to be Jenni. I first brought it up as a joke a few months ago but it had been something I was considering for real – though I wasn’t truly ready to jump to changes then. Since then, though, I kept thinking about it and analyzing every aspect that would need to change, as well as all the positives that would come from it. I realized that there are a lot of advantages to being co-bloggers! I eventually talked myself into it, and then I talked Jenni into it with my super duper mind control powers! 😀

There will be an adjustment period for both of us, but I’m sure we’ll get the hang of this sharing a blog thing before we know it. I’m definitely a bit nervous, but also very excited. Plus, if we can survive us hating so many of each others’ favorite books, we can definitely be co-bloggers without one of us ending up dead. Maybe.

You can already see a change in the header where we added a sexy Jenni avatar, as well as her fab face on the sidebar etc. Some more changes like that will come, too, until she is fully integrated into every aspect of her new home, we were just too excited to wait any longer to make the official announcement!

So YAY! Let’s all welcome Jenni! And here’s to rocking the blogosphere together!

YAY for fun changes! Welcome Jenni!
If you guys can agree to disagree in your fave books and your hated books, I’m sure co-blogging will be a piece of cake! It’ll also mean having a different perspective in books for your readers, so I’m sure it’ll be great for the blog!

Thanks so much, Pili! I agree, we are very fluent in arguing on a manageable level and I think that will bring a certain excitement to the blog as well.

Hey Eileen! That’s probably because I am so bad at doing ANYTHING regularly. This is my solution to the not posting regularly thing. Look forward to seeing you around more!
