Jenni’s Stacking the Shelves [Mar 2]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring new additions to our bookshelves.

I didn’t have the most exciting two weeks but I did get one awesome package in the mail and I found a book that sounds AWESOME at Costco.

From my lovely co-blogger, Giselle, I got Me Before You and Jellicoe Road.  I have had my eye on both of these for a while so I am so excited that I now have them both. Thank you Giselle! The Troop is one that I found at Costco and it sounds really good and creepy! I’m excited for it because I have heard absolutely nothing about it, I love going into books blind like that! Also, I think I see a theme here: RED!

What goodies did you add to your shelf this week?

Going into books blind is so unbelievably fun! It reminds me of how I used to read before I found out about the online booking community (which I totally adore, but still, the clear head is awesome!). Can’t wait to see how you think about all these books Jenni! 🙂

Me Before You is meant to be really good, I’d heard amazing things about it, but I haven’t read it myself. I tried another book by her, The Girl You Left Behind and didn’t enjoy it much, so I hope you enjoy this one more. Also, the red theme is really pretty 🙂

Awesome books you got there!! I love the red theme going on. 🙂 I have been wanting to read Jellicoe Road!! I have heard it’s amazing. I have The Troop, but have not read it yet either.

I’m finding it pretty hard to finish The Troop because I’ve been having problems with the stereotypical and “boxing in” of the characters but it looks great in person! I only have a digital ARC from NetGalley. Looking forward to your thoughts on it! 🙂

I got Jellicoe Road quite some time ago, but still haven’t gotten around to reading it. I have heard so many good things about it, although some say the beginning can be a bit confusing. I hope you enjoy your new books :).

Jellicoe Road was one of my first YA reads (or back when I hadn’t read much YA yet anyway) and I didn’t love it. However, I think that my opinion would change now since my taste has changed. Hope you love the books!

You are so brave to go into a book blind, and one you actually paid for!!! Who does that anymore?!?! :D. I think I’ve actually heard of The Troop but I little clue what it’s about. It’ll be interesting to see what the verdict is!!!!

    Have a great week!!!

Haha I love Costco! I rarely ever find worthwhile reading books there, unlike you, but they’re my favorite store to go for food, but that may be because I’ve never actively shopped at any other store. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Jellicoe Road, though, and I just love the title! And I also love the red theme you have going on for this week’s books 🙂 Happy reading, Jenni! <33

Jellicoe Road was really good! If you have trouble getting into it, just stick with it! I swear it all comes together wonderfully! Hopefully, since you’ll be reading it in print, it’ll flow better. My ebook copy was formatted wrong, so it made it a bit more difficult to follow. That’s one I need to reread, for sure.

Me Before You was one of my favourite reads last year. Just have some tissues handy.
I will definitely re-read it this year.
    Happy reading, Jenni!

Ooh, three red lovelies for your shelf! I keep hearing great things about Me Before You, can’t wait to hear what you think of it! And Jellicoe Road! Sigh, I need to re-read that one soon. Enjoy!

The Troop looks really good! I love a creepy book … you’ll have to let me know what you think! And I loooved Me Before You! I think it’ll be my favourite book of the year. I hope you like it! Love all the red. 🙂
