Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we list top bookish things.
Note that Giselle and Jenni often decide to split it and each do a Top 5.

Neeeeedz!

Oldies

TTT2 TTT3 TTT4 TTT5 TTT1

  • Bloodlines by Richelle Mead: I have the worst luck with spin-offs so I never bought this one when it came out, but it sounds like the series has really taken off since so I get more and more curious at each new installment. I need to catch-up!
  • Fragments by Dan Wells: I really enjoyed the first book in the series – like, really! And I hear this one is amazing. Sequels have not treated me well this year but I still have faith in this one!
  • World After by Susan Ee: Yep, uber failure when it comes to this one. I waited like a million years for a sequel and now that it’s out 287387123761 years later I still don’t have it! *slaps self*

Upcoming

TTT6 TTT7 TTT10 TTT8 TTT9

  • The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey: This is the newest one on my list of OMG-Must-Have-Now! It just sounds so good and imaginative, and I already like the MC from the blurb alone!
  • Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver: I haven’t had the best luck with Lauren’s non-contemporaries, but I loved Before I Fall so hard it has me impatiently waiting for another contemp from her!
  • The Young Elites: Umm hells yeah! I loved her Legend series and I will read anything she writes!! *grabby hands*

What are some books you seriously want to read right meow but don’t have yet?

I don’t think there is a sane person in the world who isn’t waiting for Winter. Unless they haven’t read Cinder yet, which is stupid. I’m excited to see the cover too! Too bad it got pushed back to november next year.

  2. Kelsey

I can’t wait to read that series by Rachel Vincent, I’ve read almost all of her other books and she’s awesome! Winter and the Young Elites are on my wishlist too for when they come out πŸ™‚
I’m waiting on Heir of Fire, I know it’s out next week but the wait for it has been crazy for me!

  3. Mariya

For your upcoming books I really want to read The Young Elites as well! It sounds so freaking awesome! I can’t wait for October! =)))

  4. Carrie

I’m sort of like you with spin off’s. I’ve purchased all of the Bloodlines books, but I haven’t read them yet. I was so disappointed with the ending of VA and how my little Adrian was treated. I thought I would get a little redemption for Adrian in Bloodlines, but it’s been 3 or 4 years now and I haven’t read them yet.

Winter! Everyone needs Winter in their lives at this point. Bloodlines is a series that gets progressively better. You should definitely try it.
As for World After, I’m going to wait until the whole series comes out because there seems to be 2 year gaps in between each book which is frustrating!

  6. Lola

I really want to read The Stars Never Rise, I am a big fan of Rachel Vincent and the cover for this book is so pretty and it sounds so original!
I already have read Bloodlines and am really enjoyed the series so far, I still have to read the latest book Silver Shadows. I also have read Fragments and while the pace is slow it is an enjoyable books. beside that I haven’t heard of the other books on your list.

  7. Jenea @ Books Live Forever

I can’t wait for The Stars Never Rise too. For Darkness Shows the Stars is such a good book. πŸ™‚ I would really like to have the Wicked Lovely books and the Fever series too. I’ve read them both, but would reread them.

  8. Eileen @ BookCatPin

I really recommend reading the Bloodlines series after the last book comes out next Feb! That way you don’t have to wait at all πŸ˜‰
I’ve heard so much great things about the Angelfall series I’m definitely getting the books soon!

  9. Kayla @ The Thousand Lives

I haven’t bought a copy of Sex & Violence yet either! But YES you need to get World After! It’s such a great sequel πŸ˜€

I read a teeny bit of The Young Elites; it’s SO GOOD! I can’t wait for October!

  10. Alexa

Yay I’m glad to see someone else cheated by including books that aren’t published yet. I can’t wait to read The Young Elites even though I haven’t finished the Legend series yet, weird I know. πŸ™‚

WORLD AFTER. THAT IS A MUST. If you enjoyed Angelfall, you will LOVE World After! That book was so good. And Raffe, man, Raffe. Ugh, that book really was something.

And The Golden Lily–yeah, spin-off are difficult sometimes, but this one is worth it, in my opinion. The Golden Lily is good, but the one after, The Indigo Spell, is amazing.

Totally agree on For Darkness Shows the Stars. That was such a splendid book – not just the cover but the characters and the writing inside, too! The companion novel after it was just as good (based off the… Rose Pimpernel, was it? Forgot the name of the classic it was based off haha). AND YES TO ANYTHING MARIE LU WRITES!! She’s like the Marissa Meyer in a way πŸ˜› An auto-buy πŸ˜›

  13. Pili

For Darkness Show The Stars and Fragments are fantastic!! I really hope you’ll get to read them soon! Also Angelfall IS A MUST HAVE GISELLE, YOU GO AND GET YOURSELF A COPY RIGHT MEAOW!!

  14. Amanda @ Vivalabooks

I have the first book of the Vampire Academy series, but I just never got around to ready the rest. But, I’ve been meaning to splurge and buy the whole series plus the Bloodlines series and just marathon them all! You definitely need to read For Darkness Shows The Stars. The pacing is a little slow, but the writing and story is beautiful. I’m loving the cover for The Girl At Midnight and the synopsis sounds so intriguing that I just WANT IT NOW! Also, totally agree about Marie Lu, cannot wait for The Young Elites.

  15. Laura Plus Books

Omg you totally neeeeddzz Bloodlines in your life!

I’m super excited for The Young Elites since I loved the Legend series so much. I haven’t gotten to Cress yet but I can’t wait for Winter as well. Hopefully these will all be on your bookshelf soon!
