In My Mailbox (21)

Posted by 81 Comments

“In My Mailbox” is a meme, created by Kristi at The Story Siren, that features books I have

received/ purchased/ borrowed during the week.

Hello my lovelies friends! I’m in a great mood today! So in case you missed it, Zombies Vs Unicorns month has launched! This event is hosted along with Literary Exploration, YA-Aholic and YA Bookmark, and so far it’s going great. There are already a few giveaways posted amongst the hosts and we have a fabulous month planned. Have you missed anything so far? Click here for all Zombies vs Unicorns months posts. I was also interviewed over at Reading A Little Bit Of Everything, if you want to know a bit more about me – click here for the post. Now for books, I had a fabulous week I’m very excited for everything that I got. Funny story: It’s a different delivery company who’s been coming lately, and the last time he came, I answered the door and he goes “It’s me…. again…” O_O Now I’m scared to get anything else. Baha. Or maybe I should mass-order to peeve him. We’ll see. >.<  You may also have noticed 2 new blog tours on the sidebar for March: Embrace and Channeler's Choice.

Now that you’re up to date on Xpresso Weekly, let’s see what I got this week.

I recieved for review (click on cover or title links for Goodreads):

I also got all of this fabulous swag. Some of which I will be giving away on the blog soon 😉

*I want to thank Disney-Hyperion, Marshall Cavendish, St. Martin’s Press, HarperCollins Canada, Hachette Book Group Canada, Brigid Kemmerer, Simon & Schuster, Simon & Schuster Canada, Random House Canada, Jill Hathaway and Megan Crewe for the review copies and swag.

That’s my loot for this week!
What’s in Your mailbox this week?

New GirlPaige HarbisonRelease date: January 31st, 2012by Harlequin Teen

Goodreads / Purchase

Ever since I arrived at exclusive, prestigious Manderly Academy, that’s who I am. New girl. Unknown. But not unnoticed—because of her.

Becca Normandy—that’s the name on everyone’s lips. The girl whose picture I see everywhere. The girl I can’t compare to. I mean, her going missing is the only reason a spot opened up for me at the academy. And everyone stares at me like it’s my fault.

Except for Max Holloway—the boy whose name shouldn’t be spoken. At least, not by me. Everyone thinks of him as Becca’s boyfriend but she’s gone, and here I am, replacing her. I wish it were that easy. Sometimes, when I think of Max, I can imagine how Becca’s…

Exclusively titled for Xpresso Reads, Fresh Batch features the hottest releases of this upcoming week. Flavour of the week:

I never meant for anyone to get hurt. All I wanted to do that night was make a play for Carter Wellesley. His heartless rejection was mortifying, but people got the wrong idea when they saw me leaving his bedroom, crying. That’s how rumors of rape started.

Now girls at school are pouring out their sympathy to me. Guys too. But not everyone’s on my side. The school has become a war zone and the threats are getting scary. What began as poetic justice has morphed into something bigger–forcing me to make a terrible choice.

If there was a zombie apocalypse, would you survive? Or would you fall by the hands of zombies? Lia’s here to talk about how to survive a zombie apocalypse, so you can be well prepared (because it’s coming). Before we get started, let’s make sure you know of her book!

A year after graduating from high school, nineteen-year-old Emma Ward feels lost. Project Tell Taylor Giveaway Hop

Posted by on 02/01/2012 • 5 Comments

Michelle Madow’s debut novel Remembrance was inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” music video. She talked all about it in a blog entry a few months ago, and even sent a letter to Taylor Swift along with a signed book!

It’s been a few months now, and she has yet to hear back from Taylor that she received the letter and book. She really wants to tell Taylor about how inspiring she and her music have been to her, but since Taylor Swift is an international superstar, she’s a little hard to reach. This is where YOUR help comes into play! Michelle is giving away the biggest prize pack she’s offered yet, and the ways to enter to win are by telling Taylor Swift about Remembrance.

The Goal:…
