Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And happy Wednesday if you don’t give a flying fart about Valentine’s Day. I don’t really care one way or another but I always find that Valentine’s Day is a great day to curl up with a romance and just treat yourself to something fun! Like most people, I have my favorite tropes and I definitely can be sold on many a novel if the trope is a thing I like! So. Today. I’ve put together a mini guide on reading some romance books by the trope featuring some of my fav tropes and other tropes I know people like. I spent a LOT of time putting this guide together (probably like 10 hours all together?) so I REALLY do hope you’ll enjoy it! I also tried in include some YA titles here and there for both of you who like a good romance but prefer YA. ALSO. A bunch of these books have multiple tropes. I’ve read every single one of the them and am happy to answer any questions! 🙂

- When A Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare
- The Truth About Love and Dukes by Laura Lee Guhrke
- Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
- Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

- Kindling the Moon by Jenn Bennett
- Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase
- I Want it That Way by Ann Aguirre
- Until There Was You by Kristan Higgins
(someone gets sick and someone has to take care of them. SPARKS FLY)
- Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann
- Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne
- The Mad Earl’s Bride by Loretta Chase
- Girl in Pants by Ann Brashares (this was probably the book that made me fall in love with the trope)
(probably the trope I am most garbage for.)
- All For You by Laura Florand
- The Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLean
- Once Upon a Marquess by Courtney Milan
- How to Love by Katie Cotugno

- An Ex for Christmas by Lauren Layne
- A Rogue by Any Other Name by Sarah MacLean
- The Countess Conspiracy by Courtney Milan
- Beautiful Bad Man by Ellen O’Connell

- Trade Me by Courtney Milan
- Daring Miss Danvers by Vivienne Lorret
- The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory
- Delicious Complication by Sabrina Sol
(not my fav trope but somehow, I’ve read a lot of books with this trope???)
- Do You Want to Start a Scandal by Tessa Dare
- Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas
- Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong (not //really// a romance but it gets HOT)
- Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
What are your favorite tropes? What makes you squeal with delight? Any books I should read that have these tropes?

I love this idea! I don’t care much one way or another about Valentine’s Day myself, either, but I’m always up for some reading! I’ve not read much romance, so this list is seriously perfect! I love a well-done trope. Thanks for putting this together! 🙂

Oooh fun! I think the friends-to-lovers and enemies-to-lovers are my faves. Actually, I just read a book with BOTH. That was fun. Starry Eyes, if you were wondering.
Actually. Scratch all of those, my favorite trope is the Shannon Finds Love trope, can we get that book written?

Second-chance romance is a trope I’m new to and trying out. Love this list!
