1. Shakespeare and Company (Paris, France)
I think this is one of those bookstores almost all bookworms have heard of and I WANT TO VISIT (and likely by nothing because I am trash.)
2. The Ripped Bodice (Los Angeles, United States)
A bookstore exclusively for romance novels? YES PLEASE. THIS GIRL NEEDS IT.
3. Boekhandel Dominicanen (Maastricht, Netherlands)
The bookstore is apparently located in a 700 year old church so you get old world charm will browsing through all the books your heart could desire.
4. Foyles Bookshop (London, United Kingdom)
ITS SO BIG AND one of the most iconic London bookstores so obviously I am going to want to stop by someday.
5. Livraria Lello e Irmao (Porto, Portugal)
Last but not least, THIS MAJESTIC BOOKSTORE. It is almost two centuries old and is rumored to have inspired Harry Potter in some ways.
Any of these bookstores on your bucket list? Any others? Let me know!

This is a GREAT list! I have been to both Shakespeare & Co. and Foyles many times, and 100% can confirm they are magical. And The Ripped Bodice and Boekhandel Dominicanen are at the top of my list of bookstores to visit!

What about The Strand in New York City? I have visited Shakespeare’s in Paris and bookshops on Charing Cross Lane in London and loved browsing. One place on my bucket list is the town of Hay on Wye in Wales. It’s a little town full of bookshops.

I was so bummed when I was unable to make the opening for The Ripped Bodice. I’m only a couple of hours away, too. One of these days I want to make a trip to the bookstore and check it out.

El Ateneo in Buenos Aires is also beautiful: a bookshop located in a former theatre!

What are we even waiting for, let’s go! Boekhandel Dominicanen and Livraria Lello e Irmao look the most exciting to me, so I suggest we start there. But don’t tell Val, she won’t even lend us 5 cents…

I really need to make my way over to the Ripped Bodice!
