You’ve probably heard of Harry Potter unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two decades. You either hate it, love it, have watched the movies or have some sort of opinion about the series (even if it’s “I DONT GIVE A FUCK”.) This series has been published in so many different languages and there are SO many editions available which means there are lots of pretty covers. Today we’re going to be battling different Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone editions and you get to vote on which one is your fav. Have another fav that was not included (this is VERY likely)? Let me know in the comments so I can ooh and aah over it 😉
May the best cover win!

Everytime a new edition of this book comes out I want to buy it, the 2014 U.K cover is my absolute favourite followed by the U.S 2013 edition. I’ve seen the whole set of the 2014 U.K covers together in the bookstore and they are absolutely glorious! Thank you for sharing this great post with us! 🙂

AH, I love them all! I’m probably somewhat partial to the first US edition one because it is what I grew up with, but all of the covers are always quite lovely. 🙂 I also really enjoy the first UK edition because it is the same cover used for my Latin and Ancient Greek versions, so I’m a bit biased there as well. 😉

I’m actually doing a whole Harry Potter month on my blog, so I was excited to see this post! I love seeing HP covers. I just want to collect them all. I’ll always love the original U.S. cover, but I do love the newest paperback covers in the US and UK. Those are great!

I LITERALLY WANT THEM ALL.
I’m also torn between the US hardcovers/paperbacks/whatever because those are the ones I actually grew up with. But then I am really liking the new US paperback ones. But I don’t know. I don’t even own the Harry Potter books, I know. I’m a weirdo.

I have to be partial to the US first edition, because it’s the copy that I own! Limited budget means I can’t buy all the different editions… bookworm in distress over here!

Usually I’m a fan of the originals and hate it when they reboot covers but in this case I’m glad they did. I remember when I went to a friends house who had the books on her desk and I thought they looked extremely childish and couldn’t figure out why she was reading something from the Little Golden Books collection. It wasn’t until the movies came out that I realized I’d missed out on something. :\
