My pick this week:

I know it’s weird and morbid, but I love stories about kidnappings (and murders, and zombies, any kind of horrific situation :D). There’s something fascinating about it. I’m always curious to know what happens in those situations, but also creeped out and morbidly afraid of this happening in real life to someone I know. Also, this cover, it just calls to me!

    Oh, I know, it’s definitely a strange thing that we are so captivated by books and movies with these types of premises because there’s no way any of us would actually want this type of thing to happen to us or our loved ones. I don’t think I could pinpoint why we enjoy these types of things either! Anyways – definitely adding this one to my tbr – thanks, Giselle!

    I just saw this when i was browsing the catalogues but i have to say im still not totally sure. the cover is simple but not stunning. ill eagerly await to see what you think!!! great pick though!

    This reminds me of the icover of pure. But it looks really creepy and awesome thanks for sharing this today. This is why I love waiting on Wednesday so much and always brings up new books I’ve never had before.

    I don’t think I could read this, this would be a bit too realistic for me. It would give me nightmares about my own kids. Hence my love of paranormal 🙂 Great pick though. I think it’s something a lot of people will enjoy.

    The cover is attractive and actually seems to fit the description! The thing with this type of book for me is I have the desire after reading the description to see how it all turned out. Does she live? Does she not? Plus all the in between that goes with it. Great choice this week!! If you have a moment here is My WoW

    There’s such a huge contrast between the pretty butterfly on the cover and the title of this book. And of course you like stories about kidnappings. Weirdo! j/k. 🙂

    Because I’m a wimp, I usually sprint in the other direction when I hear the word “zombie” but I recently read This Is Not A Test and you can’t get more zombie-ish than that, so I think I might give this book a try. Thanks for the heads up Giselle! 🙂

    @Emily: O_O This has nothing to do with zombies. And This is Not A test is the least “zombie-ish” zombie book out there haha. No really, we see what? 4 zombies? >.< You should read Rhiannon Frater's zombie books 😀

    I think the book lost me with this

    But what if the stranger is well-dressed and handsome? On his way to meet his wife and daughter? And casting a movie that very night—a movie in need of a star dancer? What then?

    I can deal with kidnaps,murder, sinister people plots but not when the person stupidly ends up in harms way. Will have to check back once you’ve read it and see what you thought.

    This sounds really good. I’m like you with my love for kidnapping, murders, zombies, and destruction lol!! The cover is a bit disturbing, but it makes me want to read it.

    Yeah, I feel like the more he tries to make you comfortable with getting in the car, the less you should get in the car. Just saying.

    Also, I feel like butterflies are overused on YA book covers.

    I’m not immediately drawn to this, but I’ll watch for your review!
