Fresh Batch (Oct 16th-22nd)

This week’s hot releases

Fresh Batch features some of the hottest releases this upcoming week. The books to feature are exclusively chosen by Giselle.

Flavour of the week:
     On The Fringe
     Courtney King Walker

Claire is struggling to overcome the murder of her childhood friend and secret crush, Daniel. Everyone else seems to be moving on with their lives, but she’s still trying to cope. The fact that she finds herself alone and drowning on her 16th birthday isn’t helping.

Neither is thinking she sees Daniel’s face in murky water as she mysteriously resurfaces. But something happened during those four and a half minutes that will make her realize it was not just her imagination.

As Claire and Daniel try to grasp a possible reconnection, other grudge-holding beings have plans of their own. Now, the two of them have to decide if their fleeting relationship is worth the possibility of Claire being trapped on the fringe forever.

Beautifully told, On the Fringe intertwines fresh ideas about devotion, revenge, and the consequences that come with life and death.

We’ve got a pretty good week this week. I’m really looking forward to On The Fringe. It sounds very suspenseful and original. I’m also intrigued by Ellen Hopkins first adult novel, Triangles. As for Dearly, Departed: It’s a very fun and has a deeply creative zombie lore. I truly enjoyed it. Click here for my review.

On the Fringe sounds amazing! Never heard of it before, but I’m definitely looking out for this! Dearly Departed is being released in December here in Australia, so I won’t be able to read this anytime soon 🙁 Great picks!

On the Fringe sounds like its gonna be a good one. I am also wanting to read Triangles. Dearly Departed & Beautiful Chaos also on that list…the ever growing list

  4. Audrey (Bibliosaurus Text)

I’m reading Triangles right now, and it’s insanely emotionally gripping. I feel like the betrayals and drama that are happening to characters are happening to me! This book is definitely not for the emotionally unstable.

And I’m SO excited for Beautiful Chaos to finally come out. Love the series!

  5. Danica Page

I was asked to professionally review On the Fringe by my work, and so I recieved that copy for free. YES!

I really want to read Sara Zarr’s How to Save a Life.
