After a supernatural showdown with a serial killer, Evie O'Neill has outed herself as a Diviner. Now that the world knows of her ability to "read" objects, and therefore, read the past, she has become a media darling, earning the title, "America's Sweetheart Seer." But not everyone is so accepting of the Diviners' abilities...

Meanwhile, mysterious deaths have been turning up in the city, victims of an unknown sleeping sickness. Can the Diviners descend into the dreamworld and catch a killer?

This sequel has been a very long wait to read and I had very high expectations going into it. It was a little slow going at first, but it was so good. Even though it was slow, we get all of the characters we love (and maybe don’t love so much) as well as new ones. As with the first one, the descriptiveness was amazing and I loved seeing what everyone has been up to and what the new danger is going to put them through. By the time I was nearing the end of this book I was reading frantically needing to see what would happen. And the end… ahhhhh!! I sure hope the next book doesn’t take as long as this sequel did to come out. I assure you though,to me it was worth the wait.

Of course, as with the first book, it is centered around many people, not just Evie. In fact, Ling and Henry stood out the most for me in this. Yes,Evie is plenty present being the “Sweetheart Seer” and having her own radio show, but Ling and Henry and their dream walking was just so fun and interesting to read. I fell in love with their characters. I already adored Henry, but this made me just love him more. And then Sam. One who I didn’t quite know how I felt about, but I was sure that I liked him. Well, I really came to like him in this book.

After the end of the last book I wasn’t sure what to expect with this. The whole sleeping sickness and the dream walking was really awesome. I love how they discover things, and can do new things they never could before. Then we start to get to the root of Project Buffalo. I mean, not much, but way more info than I could have hoped for. I loved how the characters worked together, even when they didn’t really want to. The best and the worst part though. That ending!! I am already dying for the next book. I know this was a very vague review. I’m not so great at reviewing sequels. This was fantastic though and I can’t wait for more.
