Fresh Batch (Oct 30th-Nov 5th)

This week’s hot releases

Fresh Batch features some of the hottest releases this upcoming week. The books to feature are exclusively chosen by Giselle.

Flavour of the week:
Touch
Jus Accardo

When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.

Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.

A secret Kale will kill to protect.

I’m aware that Touch has released early in the US, but for us Canadian folks, we’re still waiting 🙂
Also, Xpresso Reads is part of the Pyxis blog tour, make sure to drop by on November 14th for my interview with K.C. and a chance to win a copy!
Any of these catching your attention?

OoOo…I love the cover of Crossed. I need to pick Matched back up & finish that one *so behind*. I have Touch on the Nook just haven’t had time to start it. Dark Eden looks really good & I’ve heard great reviews on it so that’s going on my list =)

I’ve been longing for Touch since I saw the cover (and reading your review did very little to settle my “I-must-buy” insticts!). Darker still is also on my Wishlist, what with the “Dorian Grey” flavor and everything, and now I’ve just discovered Pyxis… which will certainly bring me back for the tour stop!

Thanks for sharing the upcoming titles!

I couldn’t wait for Reckoning, absolutely love the strange angels series! Then I read some bad things about the end, I’m absolutely terrified! Still can’t wait to read it haha, although I may put it off for a little bit.

I really need to read Matched, still haven’t got it yet.
