In My Mailbox (8)

Posted by

“In My Mailbox” is a meme, created by Kristi at The Story Siren, that features books I’ve
received/ purchased/ borrowed during the current week.

So, already November! Ack! We got our first freaky snow fall that was almost blizzard-like. Then the next day it was sunny and 15 (celcius). The fun of living in Canada! =)
So, here’s what I got this week!
I got for review:

Click on cover for Goodreads:

I won:

Thanks to Claire of YA Bookie Monster
I bought:
I’m pretty happy about my haul 🙂 I want to thank Heather McCorkle, Karice Bolton, Julianna Baggott, HarperCollins and Tor Teen for the review copies!
What about you? Have you gotten anything good this week?

Fury just went on my wishlist. LOVE that cover.

Curious about The Secret of Spruce Knoll from the cover! Once I comment I’m going to go look into it too. 😉

Thanks for stopping by mine! Hope you have a great week.

  2. Meghan @ Books and a Cup of Tea

I was wondering why the cover of Unlovable looked familiar! They are both so different, even though it’s the same picture. Thank you for your comment on my IMM :).

Great IMM! I really want to read Deadly Cool and Variant. They both look great!

I’m receiving Article 5 soon, from a giveaway, so I hope that one’s good too!

  3. Felicia

Wow! You got a bunch of stuff! I’ve been dying to read Deadly Cool and Hallowed. I got Everneath a while back too. I read Angel burn and it was awesome and can’t wait for the sequel. The awakening looks pretty interesting too.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Angie @ Beneath the Jacket

Jealous of Article 5! I’m still waiting for mine to come in the mail. Great haul this week! Liked Variant and hope you do to! Not familiar with Pure and will have to look that up…

I’ll try to send some Los Angeles weather your way. 😉

  5. -k

Great books this week. I just got a copy of Under the Never Sky today (technically Saturday, but the clocks go back tonight SO it’s still Saturday!!) and I can’t wait to dive into it!
I’ll admit that I wasn’t too big a fan of Angel Burn though, but hopefully you enjoy it!
    Happy reading!

  6. Jen

So jealous of Everneath! I wasn’t approved on NetGalley, so I’m looking forward to your thoughts on that one especially!

  7. Gina @ My Precious

So VERY jealous of your stack this week. Quite a few titles I’ve been lusting for: Pure, I just love that cover btw, is one I’ve been really dying to read. Deadly Cool is another one, which sounds great. I went to good reads to find out more about Spruce Knoll. It sounds enticing. I’m curious about Fury is that a different cover? Variant is something which interests me a lot, Article 5 is dystopian sounding – I like those reads. Finally, the number one book I’m totally jealous of is Hallowed. I hope you enjoy them all. I’ll check back frequently for your reviews.

  8. Madigan McGillicuddy

What a fantastic set of books. I’m looking forward to reading a lot of these. I’ll have to add some to my To-Be-Read list, like Under the Never Sky and Fury. I love the cover for The Secret of Spruce Knoll.

  9. Janus Vielle Aragones

Hmm.. I’ve never experienced snow at all but blizzard-like sounds awful enough for me.. Crazy weather all around.. ha! ha!

O wow! Article 5!!! I’m really looking forward to reading that.
Let me know what you think of Angel Burn, I’m still undecided on reading it or not. It’s my first time to encounter Spruce Knoll, it looks interesting, I’ll check that out.

    Great haul! Happy reading!

Thanks for all your lovely comments!! 😉

    Gina:
No Fury is NOT the same as the one you’re thinking (which I assume is the one by Elizabeth Miles and awful reviews). This one is from an Aussie author and it has gotten amazing reviews from my friends. Click on the link with the title it’ll send you to the Goodreads page with a synopsis.

  11. Laura (All of Everything)

Everneath, Under the Never Sky and Hallowed are like a holy trio lol. I am loving Hallowed, though it’s breaking my heart! Still need to get to Pure and I’ve heard good things about Variant.
    Enjoy your books 🙂

  12. Kathy Ann Coleman

Glad to see that you had such a great week. 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and taking a look at mine. Congrats on getting Under The Never Sky. They told me no. *shrugs* Can’t win ’em all, I guess. It comes out a week before my birthday so I’ll just get it then. Maybe I need to improve something on my Netgalley profile? All that stuff is still total Greek to me.

  13. jenn

Nice haul! A lot of interesting ones you got there and I’ll have to look into them! So jealous you got Everneath!

    Happy reading:)

Awesome mini book haul. I’ve read Angel Burn and liked it, but not as much as everyone else seemed to. I hope you do. Deadly Cool looks so pretty (the eyes!!).

  15. A. Knight

I love getting signed ANYTHING and swag. It’s so pretty to have. Plus, I’m really excited for Article 5.

Lucky girl! for snagging Hallowed, Under the Never Sky, and Everneath (have you SEEN the trailer??)! And I can’t wait to read Deadly Cool, but the cover looks different than on Goodreads *pouts*
