Waiting on Wednesday (13)

Posted by

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

                                    The Unquiet

                                    Jeannine Garsee

                                    Release date: July 17th, 2012

Sixteen-year-old Rinn Jacobs has secrets: One, she’s bipolar. Two, she killed her grandmother.

After a suicide attempt, and now her parents’ separation, Rinn and her mom move from California to the rural Ohio town where her mother grew up. Back on her medications (again!) and hoping to stay well, Rinn settles into her new home and school. She refuses to be daunted by the fact that the previous owner hanged herself in Rinn’s bedroom, or that her classmates believe the school pool is haunted by Annaliese, a girl who drowned there. But when a reckless séance goes awry, and terrible things start happening to her new friends—yet not to her—Rinn is determined to find out why she can’t be “touched” by Annaliese…or if Annaliese even exists.

With the help of Nate Brenner, the hunky “farmer boy” she’s rapidly falling for, Rinn devises a dangerous plan to uncover the truth. Soon reality and fantasy meld into one, till Rinn finds it nearly impossible to tell the difference. When a malevolent force threatens the lives of everyone she cares about–not to mention her own–she can’t help wondering: who should she really be afraid of?

Annaliese? Or herself?

Ok, anything to do with ghosts, hauntings, sceances, is MY kind of book! I love em! I’m so freaking psyched to read this one. Who’s with me!? xD

What’s your pick this week?

I can’t decide if this book should go on my ‘ghost’ shelf or my ‘tear my heart out’ shelf – either way, it’s definitely going on my ‘to-be-read’ shelf! Thanks for stopping by today!

That sounds interesting… and awesome! : ) I have to stop reading these WoW – I keep adding to my TBR and I already can’t keep up. Eh, what’s one more.

It’s unfortunate that we have to wait another seven months for this! That’s just downright torturous.

PS. Your blog is way cute, too. ; ) Now I have a coffee craving but that never hurt anybody. Thanks for visiting the daily bookmark. : )

Wow this sounds so good! American Horror Story got me hooked on anything to do with Ghosts! I haven’t heard of this before, so it’s going on my to-read list asap.

This book looks really good. For some reason, I couldn’t read ‘unquiet’ (must mean I’m near my bedtime); I kept reading unique-ette. Not that that has much to do with the book. But I’m intrigued. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for visiting my WoW.

Thanks for stopping by today! This is an intriguing pick. It sounds like one of those books that blurs the psychological & the supernatural until you’re not entirely sure what the true culprit is. Great choice. 🙂
