My pick this week:

Between
Jessica Warman
Release date: August 2nd, 2011
by Walker & Company

Goodreads / Purchase

Elizabeth Valchar-pretty, popular, and perfect-wakes up the morning after her eighteenth birthday party on her family’s yacht, where she’d been celebrating with her six closest friends. A persistent thumping noise has roused her. When she goes to investigate, what she finds will change everything she thought she knew about her life, her friends, and everything in between. As Liz begins to unravel the circumstances surrounding her birthday night, she will find that no one around her, least of all Liz herself, was perfect-or innocent. Critically acclaimed author Jessica Warman brings readers along on a roller-coaster ride of a mystery, one that is also a heartbreaking character study, a touching romance, and ultimately a hopeful tale of redemption, love, and letting go.

I won this on a blog when it was just released and I never got to it. The cover is gorgeous though and it looks very similar to the cover of Unlovable which I just read and loved. Have you read Between?

I’ve seen this book at the store! The cover makes me sad though, so I probably wouldn’t read it. I haven’t the capacity for heart wrenching books ( I can’t read Jodi Picoult for example).

A popular cover image lately. Though it works really well they way they’ve personalized it for this one. I haven’t read this yet but I’ll definitely check it out. Most of the books on my shelf to read are dusty as I’m reading very slowly while editing my own work. 😉 Though I just dusted off Open Minds by Susan Quinn. Super excited to read that one!

I want to read this one, except that the cover depresses me. That and I just can’t bring myself to read a book that’s not a series. I do believe the only books that I have read that aren’t series I simply read because they were being turned into a movie that I wanted to watch but wanted to read the book first (even though that always makes me unimpressed with the movie). =D

I have heard this book is really good. I have been wanting to get to it, but know I won’t any time soon. I have tons of books that I have bought or won and haven’t gotten to. I’m even participating in the TBR pile 2012 challenge and have only read one towards it so far. 🙁

I’ve heard amazing things about this book but haven’t read it yet ! I’m hoping you’ll come to it soon because I’m very interested in reading your review 🙂 !!
