Waiting on Wednesday (22)

Posted by

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

Never Let You Go

                                    Emma Carlson Berne
                                    Release date: Fall, 2012
by Simon Pulse

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. . .

You always want what you can’t have.

Megan never meant to hurt her best friend Anna. She made a mistake, and she’s spent all year trying to regain Anna’s trust. So when Anna invites her to spend the summer on her uncle’s farm, Megan is excited…and relieved. The past is finally behind them.

On the farm, Anna quickly falls for Jordan, a rugged summer-hand. Megan and Jordan have their own spark, but Megan’s betrayed Anna once before and she’s not about to do it again.

Still, the more time that Megan and Jordan spend together, the harder it is to deny their chemistry. But Anna doesn’t like to be ignored—and she doesn’t forgive and forget. What started out as the perfect summer is about to take a very dark turn…

I love YA thrillers, or thrillers of any kind. I really enjoyed Emma’s previous book Still Waters so when I saw her tweet about her new book I instantly had to check it out. I love the ominous, but vague synopsis; very intriguing! I’ll be pining for this until I have it in my greedy hands! >.<

You always want what you can’t have. So very true lol The cover is freaky. She looks angry. I’m guessing Anna doesn’t like a boyfriend stealing friend and can’t say I blame her. But I’m very curious about what dark turn it will take.
    My WOW

Usually, I don’t like Young Adult and as far as I can tell, I’m not a überfan of Thrillers, either, but this actually sounds like something I might enjoy. Soo.. Thank you for sharing! : )

This sounds good. The cover looks like the chick is going to go all crazy psycho! I will have to add this to my TBR list.

  4. Becca

Ooh, sounds as intense as that cover! That girl’s looking at me like she’s going to eat me or something. Very scary 🙂 I’m adding it to my list!

The cover is really cool and the synopsis is intriguing as well! I haven’t read too many YA thrillers so I’m definitely looking forward to this one! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  6. Carmel @ Rabid Reads

The cover is FIERCE! I was having trouble getting to your site; I kept getting an error message. Not sure if it’s because of the link URL in the linky or just a fluke on mind end… Either way, happy reading! 🙂

I wasn’t in love with Still Waters so I’m not sure if I will give this author another go or not.

Thanks for sharing this one though and I hope you enjoy it when you get your hands on a copy. 🙂

Okay, that sounds seriously creepy. As if that girl’s facial expression didn’t give that away. Can’t wait for this one to come out!

“You always want what you can’t have.” <– That's probably one of the truest statements I've ever read! x) Oh my gosh, Giselle, I can't believe I've never heard of this book before — I love thrillers too!
