PAPER VALENTINE, in which a girl haunted by the troubled ghost of her best friend finds herself sucked into a darkly mesmerizing string of murders, in which a serial killer who leaves a paper-heart 'valentine' on his victims' bodies draws ever closer.

Isn't this cover so different? I love it it's so intriguing. Murder mysteries have always been my favorite kind of books. For years before I went into YA, it was all that I read. So yes, I must have this! :D I actually haven't read Brenna's The Space Between yet (nor the Replacement for that matter) but having seen the fantastic reviews for it she seems like a great author, making me even more excited to read this!

  3. This sounds interesting. :) I haven't read any of Brenna Yovanoff's other books, but I think I'll try this one out. You're right though, many people had good stuff to say about "The Space Between". I'm a hopeless cause for creepy, gothic mystery books anyways. ;)

  11. That certainly looks intriguing. Not sure if it's my kind of book or not. I keep wanting to read The Replacement or The Space Between and then I forget the titles / author name when I go to Chapters. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this when it releases. :)

  26. Ohh that does sound good! I really like the cover. It's refreshingly different and really great!! I am a big mystery reader too, though I don't really read them as much as I used to. I love creepy too. I haven't read any of her books either, not sure why since I have heard good things about them. Great pick!

  27. I hope you get that book eventually! :) I saw the cover reveal for it a while ago and the cover looks so gorgeous! It's really different from your normal covers with a actual model on it, don't you think? I wonder why we haven't seen many covers like this before.

  36. I'm with you, I can kind of tell she's a good author from who's reviewing her and what their saying. I picked up Space Between b/c the story was so different and the cover is gorgeous - I love the artist!! This one is just as beautiful but quirky, I'll have to make sure I add this :) Fab pick!!!

  37. The covers to Brenna's books are so unique and similar. Love the designs and how they all have that paper doilie look. The plot seems interesting and although I haven't read a murder mystery in awhile, I may just have to look into this authors books. :)

  41. Okay, I'm in love with that cover - it could be reason enough to buy this book. :D But I like this short synopsis as well, so I'll definitely have to keep it in mind. I've had a copy of THE SPACE BETWEEN on my shelf for quite a while now, so I definitely should get to it soon. :)

  50. I'm looking forward to this one as well. I recently read The Space Beween (Smoulder-UK and Aus ver) and it was awesome! Murder mystery is my kind of thing as well. It's Something i have been hooked on since i was a kid.

  54. Oh my goodness, this sounds amazing. I hadn't heard of it yet so thanks! Love the cover. It's very different but in a dark, lovely sort of way. I haven't read anything by this author yet either but I want to read The Replacement and my sister read The Space Between and enjoyed it.
