Waiting on Wednesday (46)

Posted by

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

Spirit and Dust

Rosemary Clement-Moore
Release date: May 14th, 2013
by Delacorte Books for Young Readers

Speaking to the dead is no new thing for Daisy Goodnight. The living, on the other hand, can occasionally be a problem. Especially when they knock you out, kidnap you, and force you to be their magical police dog.

Donald Maguire—mob boss, extraordinaire—has a missing daughter and Daisy is his first choice to track her down. But he didn’t actually ask her for help. When she woke up in his guest bedroom, she was told. But why her? And who—or what—in the world is the Black Jackal?

Spirits? Mob boss? Kidnapping? Missing girl? What’s not to love! Seriously!

PS: There’s a different synopsis on Amazon that gives a bit more away.

What did you pick this week?

Oh nice! I hadn’t heard of this one but it sounds like it has a nice twist on the typical ghost story. I’m intrigued!

Interesting sounding summary, I’ll have to go read the Amazon one too! This week I picked Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter. I love seeing everyone’s WoWs 🙂

I’ve heard great things about Rosemary Clement-Moore. I don’t know if I want this to be my first one or not. It does sound pretty darn cool.

Also, laughing forever at “force you to be their magical police dog.”

Is this going to be like The Sixth Sense meets Goodfellas?

Whoa. I _love_ the cover for this book! It makes me want to get it just so it’ll sit pretty on my shelves ::hangs head in shame:: LOL.

The synopsis is definitely a bit unique and I am officially intrigued. Adding to my GoodReads!

Thanks for the suggestion, love muffin 🙂
