Waiting on Wednesday (50)

Posted by

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

Criminal

Terra Elan McVoy
Release date: May 2013
by Simon Pulse

Nikki’s life is far from perfect, but at least she has Dee. Her friends tell her that Dee is no good, but Nikki can’t imagine herself without him. He’s hot, he’s dangerous, he has her initials tattooed over his heart, and she loves him more than anything. There’s nothing Nikki wouldn’t do for Dee. Absolutely nothing.

So when Dee pulls Nikki into a crime – a crime that ends in murder – Nikki tells herself that it’s all for true love. Nothing can break them apart. Not the police. Not the arrest that lands Nikki in jail. Not even the investigators who want her to testify against him.

But what if Dee had motives that Nikki knew nothing about?

Nikki’s love for Dee is supposed to be unconditional . . . but even true love has a limit. And Nikki just might have reached hers.

This cover is so simple, yet striking! It definitely caught my eye. The story sounds like a very rough love story / murder mystery that could be really awesome and sounds like a great combination to me! 😉

I love the simple cover as well! Sounds like a very drama filled relationship. Love those! I wonder why he really murdered whoever he murdered! And if Nikki will testify against him. It does sound like a good mystery surrounding the troubled relationship. Thanks for sharing.
    My WOW

You know what draws me in apart from the striking cover? Here, it seems like the bad boy is really the bad boy and our heroine is too blind to see! I love this concept! Need.To.Read!

This seems like an intense but really interesting read. I’ll definitely be checking it out when it releases. Thanks for sharing, Giselle! 🙂

This sounds really great!! I like the simple cover too. Simple meaningful cover has a greater appeal than a flashy cover!! I will definitely be adding this to my TBR list. Great pick muffin!!

I love the bullet effect on the title. Dee does sound dangerous and how Nikki can still be in love with him intrigues me. I want to see how the relationship between Nikki and Dee goes, so i’m definitely adding it to my TBR pile.

    Great pick! =D

    Check out my WoW.

Oh my gosh – this really does sound intriguing. It sounds like it’s a combination thriller and twisted romance, so yes, definitely checking this out!
