Waiting on Wednesday (54)

Posted by

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week:

Truth or Dare

Jacqueline Green
Release date: May 2013
by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Some say the seaside town of Echo Bay is cursed.

They may be right.

When a game of truth or dare spins out of control, three beautiful teen girls start receiving mysterious dares containing hints to dark secrets long buried. For artsy outcast Sydney Morgan; perfect, popular Caitlin “Angel” Thomas; and queen bee Tenley Reed, the truth is not an option. This is no party game—it’s do or die. And it’s their turn to play.

This sounds a bit like Nerve which I actually just read last week, but a problem I had was that it wasn’t daring enough for me and from the sounds of this it will be a bit more my speed! Dark secrets? Who can resist? >.<

What did you pick this week?

This does sound good! When my friends get together we usually end up in a game of truth or dare out of boredom – some crazy dares are done but I have a feeling that it’d be nothing compared to what happens in this!! ^.^

    Thanks for sharing!

This one sounds intriguing! I hadn’t heard of it before. I wonder whether there’s an acutal person behind the dares or if there really is some sort of curse or other force. I’m also curious to see the interaction of the three characters because they seem to be quite different from one another!
    Great pick 🙂

Oooh, you’re right, it sounds a LOT like Nerve. Nerve may not have been daring, but it still made me queasy. >.< I'll have to recover from those kinds of books before trying this one out. 😛

This book sounds interesting, I haven’t heard of this one before, going to add to my tbr list. I love the colours on the cover, green and purple always look good with blue.

I haven’t read Nerve- but this does sound like it will keep you on the edge of your seat! I never liked playing Truth or Dare- and this book will probably confirm those thoughts. 🙂
