Flavor of the week:

If You Find Me
Emily Murdoch
Publication date: March 26th 2013
by St. Martin’s Griffin

There are some things you can’t leave behind…

A broken-down camper hidden deep in a national forest is the only home fifteen year-old Carey can remember. The trees keep guard over her threadbare existence, with the one bright spot being Carey’s younger sister, Jenessa, who depends on Carey for her very survival. All they have is each other, as their mentally ill mother comes and goes with greater frequency. Until that one fateful day their mother disappears for good, and two strangers arrive. Suddenly, the girls are taken from the woods and thrust into a bright and perplexing new world of high school, clothes and boys.

Now, Carey must face the truth of why her mother abducted her ten years ago, while haunted by a past that won’t let her go… a dark past that hides many a secret, including the reason Jenessa hasn’t spoken a word in over a year. Carey knows she must keep her sister close, and her secrets even closer, or risk watching her new life come crashing down.

Emily is a writer, a poet, and a lover of books. There’s never a time she’s without a book. Her debut novel, If You Find Me, will be available from St. Martin’s on March 26, 2013 and from Orion/Indigo UK on May 2, 2013.

When she’s not reading or writing, you’ll find her caring for her horses, dogs and family on a ranch in rural Arizona, where the desert’s tranquil beauty and rich wildlife often enter into her poetry and writing.

Going Vintage for sure! I’ve been for this book and I just can’t wait to get it and read it. I can see here some interesting titles that I’m going to find more about them.

AHHHH WITH ALL MY SOUL!!! *flails around freaking out* I am so excited for it. I can’t read it right away, but I will be reading it very soon after getting it! Also I totally need Glitter and Doom. Loved Masque of the Red Death and I am a sucker for novellas. Going Vintage sounds like a really fun book too, but maybe I will get it from the library when I have time to read it. I’m loving If You Find Me hopefully I will finish it this weekend, but I’m reading like 3 other books. Hehe!! Multi-tasking. (sorry about this spazzy comment, apparently I have had too much coffee this morning.)

It’s a quiet week this week and I’ve only added two books to my wishlist. Impostor and Going Vintage. I’d add Wasteland, but I have an ARC and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna hate it since Christina is.

I think Black Helicopters and Island 731 look interesting. Will probably only pick up the Masque Of The Red Death Novella in all honesty. I will in the future no doubt buy the latest Soul Screamers but I need to get caught up on the series and since I still have yet to read Slide, Impostor will be a later purchase as well.

A lot of pretties this week BUT I don’t think any of them are even on my reading list. That’s the first time that’s ever happened o.O I *do* want to read Jeaniene Frost & Jennifer Estep though, generally speaking lol Oh and the Soul Screamers series. Have you read the Soul Screamers books? I can’t recall…

Of Shadow Born looks pretty bad ass though, so I’m off to check it out! Thanks Giselle

Yes please for new Jeaniene Frost, the woman is phenomenal! I also really like Going Vintage, I’ve seen it around but haven’t really looked into it yet, but that cover is cute and original 🙂
