Flavor of the week:

Unbreakable
Elizabeth Norris
Series: Unraveling, #1
Publication date: April 23rd 2013
by Balzer + Bray

Four months after Ben disappeared through the portal to his home universe, Janelle believes she’ll never see him again. Her world is still devastated, but life is finally starting to resume some kind of normalcy. Until Interverse Agent Taylor Barclay shows up. Somebody from an alternate universe is running a human trafficking ring, kidnapping people and selling them on different Earths—and Ben is the prime suspect. Now his family has been imprisoned and will be executed if Ben doesn’t turn himself over within five days.

And when Janelle learns that someone she cares about—someone from her own world—has become one of the missing, she knows that she has to help Barclay, regardless of the danger. Now Janelle has five days to track down the real culprit. Five days to locate the missing people before they’re lost forever. Five days to reunite with the boy who stole her heart. But as the clues begin to add up, Janelle realizes that she’s in way over her head—and that she may not have known Ben as well as she thought. Can she uncover the truth before everyone she cares about is killed?

Unraveling series:

Elizabeth’s Website / Goodreads / Facebook / Twitter

Elizabeth Norris briefly taught high school English and history before trading the southern California beaches and sunshine for Manhattan’s recent snowpocalyptic winter.

She harbors dangerous addictions to guacamole, red velvet cupcakes, sushi, and Argo Tea, fortunately not all together.

Her first novel, UNRAVELING (Balzer+Bray, April 2012), is the story of one girl’s fight to save her family, her world, and the one boy she never saw coming.

I haven’t started reading Unraveling, so it’s not really flavor of the wek for me. 🙂
I’ve got Pretty Dark Nothing, The Golem and the Jinni, Hot Blooded on my to-review pile.
I didn’t pre-order any of these but I will probably buy Unnatural Creatures and maybe How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True – I’m waiting for more review from friends for that one. 🙂

Yay for The Elite! I didn’t end up reading The Unraveling but I may need to fix that. I looked it up and it seems like it might be my kinda thing. I’m certainly no stranger to waiting to read stuff. Books aren’t pokemon–you can’t possibly catch ’em all. *shrug*

UNBREAKABLE!! I want it bad! I hope I don’t have too much to do at Uni and I’ll get stuff done at work real quick and get my reviews books read soon, because god knows I’d love a piece of that book asap lol. I miss these characters and their thrilling story.

  4. Amy

Another week that I don’t want half the new releases!! Yay!! I do really want to get a finished copy of Arclight though, I liked the book and the cover is awesome!! I just bought the ebook of Unraveling, so I’m sure that when I finally do get to it, I will want Unbreakable. Everyone seems to love that series.

UNBREAKABLE. YES. FINALLY. I adored Unraveling, so I have to get my hands on the sequel! Like Amy, though, I don’t feel particularly interested in the rest – except perhaps Arclight and Acid, because those two have been getting pretty good reviews lately. Ah, well. At least I won’t be feeling guilty for spending a truckload of money on books this week. 😉

  6. Michelle Parsons

The House of Secrets I want to read. Just one more to add to my TBR list 🙂
but I don’t mind as some point I will read them all, I hope 🙂

Lots of exciting & exciting looking books this week: Pretty Dark Nothing, House of Secrets, The Golem and the Jinni, Arclight… Oh I should really get into the Unraveling Series too. And is it just me or does the cover of His Submissive remind you of Shadownfever (the softback edition), except Mac wasn’t topless LOL
