When you’ve been kept caged in the dark, it’s impossible to see the forest for the trees. It’s impossible to see anything, really. Not without bars . . .

Andrew Winston Winters is at war with himself.

He’s part Win, the lonely teenager exiled to a remote Vermont boarding school in the wake of a family tragedy. The guy who shuts all his classmates out, no matter the cost.

He’s part Drew, the angry young boy with violent impulses that control him. The boy who spent a fateful, long-ago summer with his brother and teenage cousins, only to endure a secret so monstrous it led three children to do the unthinkable.

Over the course of one night, while stuck at a party deep in the New England woods, Andrew battles both the pain of his past and the isolation of his present.

Before the sun rises, he’ll either surrender his sanity to the wild darkness inside his mind or make peace with the most elemental of truths—that choosing to live can mean so much more than not dying.

I’m a YA writer who grew up in Berkeley, California, which is a quirky sort of a place with a ton of wonderful bookstores. My very first job was working in one of those bookstores, and I’ve been a freakishly avid reader for as long as I can remember.

Other passions of mine include mental health advocacy, social justice, and sports of all kinds. I currently live in Northern California with my family and our wild menagerie of pets. CHARM & STRANGE is my debut novel. It will be published in 2013 by St. Martin’s Press and Egmont UK.

Ooh, I just read Spies and Prejudice and it was rather disappointing, in fact, I just posted my review up. I adored Born of Illusion and Another Little Piece was alright. I’m currently reading Rush but after hearing so many negative reviews, I’m not awfully convinced. I can’t wait to read Linked!

Thanks for sharing, Giselle! There are so many awesome titles there. <33

So many books!! And seeing your post reminds me of the ones I have for review that I still haven’t read yet. Total fail!!!

The cover for Lingerie Wars makes me LOL. There’s nothing I’m particularly interested in this month except for Charm & Strange and One. I’m going to start Far, Far Away soon, too, so I hope that one’s good!

Wow it’s going to be a busy week lots of Harper releases too! 🙂 Born of Illusion was really good in my opinion and ahh I haven’t heard of most of these titles but I think now that is almost summer there is going to be a serious spitting out of titles soon I’m actually really excited I love seeing what’s coming out great post!!

PS: I never told you but I love that pun you used in the title of my bday post I didn’t get it at first but then I was like, “LIFE MAKES SENSE NOW!” Love ya!

Forever Too Far!!!! Dying to read it! Being Me was really good and I’m really excited to start One Tiny Breathe. This is a great week in books 🙂

Ooh.. I’m pretty excited for Born of Illusion and One Tiny Lie. I just finished reading Spies and Prejudice and it wasn’t really all that good. It fell short of my expectations 🙁 But I can’t wait to read some of this week’s releases!

Is it weird that Born of Illusion STILL makes me giddy, even after getting it signed, and KISSING IT, a picture still makes me want to squee LOL Far Far Away is another one I really want to read! I love the cover for Dance of the Red Death and even though I promised myself after book 1 that I would NOT be reading the sequel, I’m kind of tempter now…bleh, must resist the pretty! RUSH I *was* looking forward to but now, not so much heh That Grimm Legacy series appeals to me though (big surprise there!!) Thanks for sharing all the goodness 😀

Soo I’m just gonna say, I’ve never read the Dark Duet series but I’m kind of in love with that cover model’s back. Kind of? I mean, I am. Haha
