Some things are permanent.

Indelible.

And they cannot be changed back.

Joy Malone learns this the night she sees a stranger with all-black eyes across a crowded room—right before the mystery boy tries to cut out her eye. Instead, the wound accidentally marks her as property of Indelible Ink, and this dangerous mistake thrusts Joy into an incomprehensible world—a world of monsters at the window, glowing girls on the doorstep, and a life that will never be the same.

Now, Joy must pretend to be Ink’s chosen one—his helper, his love, his something for the foreseeable future…and failure to be convincing means a painful death for them both. Swept into a world of monsters, illusion, immortal honor and revenge, Joy discovers that sometimes, there are no mistakes.

Somewhere between reality and myth lies…

THE TWIXT

The role of Dawn Metcalf will be played by the tall brunette in the off-the-shoulder, floor-length leather straitjacket. Makeup by Clinique, buckles by Jada Pinkett-Smith, hair by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

I have no good excuse for the way I write. I lived in a normal, loving, suburban home, studied hard, went to college, went to graduate school, got married, had babies, and settled down in northern Connecticut. Despite this wholesome lifestyle, I’ve been clearly corrupted by fairy tales, puppet visionaries, British humour and graphic novels. As a result, I write dark, quirky, and sometimes humorous speculative fiction.

INDELIBLE: Book One of the Twixt is coming July 30, 2013 by Harlequin Teen. My debut novel, LUMINOUS, was published by Dutton Books in 2011.

I would love to read Indelible, and the King’s Guard at some point! I can’t afford any new books at the moment though lol, I already pre-ordered a bunch earlier this month.

  2. Sam @ Realm of Fiction

I’m really excited about Frigid! Jennifer L. Armentrout’s books generally tend to work for me, even if they’re not the most fantastically written pieces of work. There’s just always something really engaging and entertaining about her characters. I was curious about Indelible too, but I don’t think I’ll get that one now. The reviews so far haven’t been great…

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Eileen @ ***Singing and Reading in the Rain***

Oh dude Sara Shepherd is still going? Like, I understand that she’s all like into writing, but the PLL series has gone on for, like, EVER, and The Lying Game too. It’s getting so dragged out ahhh, even though I used to LOVE her series. There are tons of amazing releasees this week, though, and I love all of the awesome covers in this one! Inedible looks so amazing too 😀

    Fantastic post, Giselle!

  4. Micheline @ Lunar Rainbows

I love the cover for Indelible and I am quite curious about what’s on the inside too! The only release I’m itching to get my hands on is Earthbound 😀 Although The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Real Magic was brought to my attention lately by Anya over at On Starships and Dragonwings so I’m looking out for any reviews on that one! Cheers G and thanks for sharing ♥
