Flavor of the week:

Nearly Gone
Elle Cosimano
Publication date: March 25th 2014
by Kathy Dawson Books
Bones meets Fringe in a big, dark, scary, brilliantly-plotted urban thriller that will leave you guessing until the very end.
Nearly Boswell knows how to keep secrets. Living in a DC trailer park, she knows better than to share anything that would make her a target with her classmates. Like her mother’s job as an exotic dancer, her obsession with the personal ads, and especially the emotions she can taste when she brushes against someone’s skin. But when a serial killer goes on a killing spree and starts attacking students, leaving cryptic ads in the newspaper that only Nearly can decipher, she confides in the one person she shouldn’t trust: the new guy at schoolโa reformed bad boy working undercover for the police, doing surveillance. . . on her.
Nearly might be the one person who can put all the clues together, and if she doesn’t figure it all out soonโshe’ll be next.

I think the only book I’ll be getting for next week is Daughter of Chaos, which is kinda strange!
What I do have is two ARCs of books that release next week that I need to read and review this weekend!
Maya
I really want to read The Strange & Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, and Stay Where You Are and then Leave sounds really good too. I have a copy of Where the Rock Splits the Sky on my TBR pile and it sounds great so I’m looking forward to reading it ๐
Siiri
I can’t believe Hothouse Flower is almost here. Soooo cannot wait to read that. It’s been a long time coming ๐ Good week for Veronica Mars fans next week ๐
Faye @ The Social Potato
Ehhh, not really looking forward to many titles here. I’d stay away from Wanderers though… the first book, Wasteland, was such a waste of time!

The only thing I want to read from this week Fresh Batch is Nearly Gone, but I’m not sure if I’ll be getting it right now.
Eileen @ Singing and Reading in the Rain
Haha at first I thought Jane Green’s Tempting Fate was a new John Green book because of the same last name and first name initial, and the whole Tempting Fate could totally be close to a TFiOS theme. And then when I saw Hothouse Flowers’ cover I thought the title said Colleen Hoover and was all, “SHE has another book too?!” but it turns out I just have sucky vision lol ๐
Zoe @ The Infinite To-Read Shelf
I always love when you post this feature because it’s always so helpful! It’s so easy to forget when certain books I’m interested in are releasing, and your Fresh Batch posts are always such helpful reminders! ๐
As for books, this week doesn’t look to exciting in terms of new releases. I think the one I’m most interested in reading is Near Gone by Elle Casimano because, really, who can resist a book marketed “Bones meets Fringe“? Hopefully it lives up!
Thanks so much for sharing Giselle! xD
Cait @ Notebook Sisters
I only just found out John Boyne had a new book a few weeks ago! SO excited. I loved The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (and by “love” here, I mean sobbed my guts out).
Tina
Soooooo excited for Veronica Mars! Already pre-ordered!
