Flavor of the week:

Dorothy Must Die
Danielle Paige
Series: Dorothy Must Die #1
Publication date: April 1st 2014
by HarperTeen
I didn’t ask for any of this. I didn’t ask to be some kind of hero.
But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado—taking you with it—you have no choice but to go along, you know?Sure, I’ve read the books. I’ve seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can’t be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There’s still the yellow brick road, though—but even that’s crumbling.
What happened?
Dorothy. They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.My name is Amy Gumm—and I’m the other girl from Kansas.
I’ve been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.
I’ve been trained to fight.
And I have a mission:
Remove the Tin Woodman’s heart.
Steal the Scarecrow’s brain.
Take the Lion’s courage.
Then and only then—Dorothy must die!

Amanda @ Book Badger
Everybody and their Aunt is going to go nuts over Dorothy Must Die; I’m just sitting and waiting for the reviews before I debate anything. Love Letter’s to the Dead would be one I would consider, but I’m just not sure yet, and the covers for The Chronicles of Nick series is enough to make me consider trying them, they’re so gorgeous! It’s a good week for books I think 🙂

I have Salvage and Guilded Ashes preordered but there are also a bunch of other books that I like I might end up buying too, like Dorothy Must Die, The Ring and the Crown, Love Letters to the Dead and a few others!

I’m definitely getting the Ring and the Crown and Dear Killer… but after seeing this whole list I started eyeing on Going Over, Lucky Day, and Dear Nobody as well… and just seeing how many people is excited about Dorothy Must Die, I just might consider it 😀

My poor wallet! This week is going to be expensive! I want: Dorothy Must Die, Stolen Songbird, Love Letters To The Dead, Summer on the Short Bus, Learning Not To Drown, This Side of Salvation, The Summer I Wasn’t Me, The Ring and the Crown, and Foretold. How the heck am I going to read all that?! So many choices! 🙂

There’s a lot of great books coming out this week! I’m especially excited for Dorothy Must Die and Dear Killer because Dorothy sounds so fun and fascinating, while Dear Killer was just so unique and thrilling. And Love Letters’ cover is beautiful and it’s been getting a lot of really great reviews recently 🙂

Dorothy Must Die was really good! And I love the cover for it. This Side of Salvation was pretty good too actually. Nothing I need for my shelves this week, but so many good looking books!
Jessica @ Rabid Reads
Dorothy Must Die looks really great. It’s definitely one I’ll be reading and soon. BUT Stolen Songbird is going to be my Tuesday-release-day Read. Can’t wait!

I’m seriously obsessed with this book and it’s not even out yet! I’ve read the first couple of chapters online and i’m so excited. The little kid in me has been singing ‘follow the yellow brick road’ for weeks. Can’t wait to see what Danielle Paige doesn’t with Oz.
