Can an atheist be saved? The New York Times bestselling author of Crank and Tricks explores the highly charged landscapes of faith and forgiveness with brilliant sensitivity and emotional resonance.

“There is no God, no benevolent ruler of the earth, no omnipotent grand poobah of countless universes. Because if there was…my little brother would still be fishing or playing basketball instead of fertilizing cemetery vegetation.”

Matthew Turner doesn’t have faith in anything.

Not in family—his is a shambles after his younger brother was bullied into suicide. Not in so-called friends who turn their backs when things get tough. Not in some all-powerful creator who lets too much bad stuff happen. And certainly not in some “It Gets Better” psychobabble.

No matter what his girlfriend Hayden says about faith and forgiveness, there’s no way Matt’s letting go of blame. He’s decided to “live large and go out with a huge bang,” and whatever happens happens. But when a horrific event plunges Matt into a dark, silent place, he hears a rumble…a rumble that wakes him up, calling everything he’s ever disbelieved into question.

  1. Amy @ Book Loving Mom

I really want to get Rumble. I love Ellen Hopkins!! I wasn’t a huge fan of Amity. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really do much for me either. Feral was decent and I really enjoyed The Swap. That book was super cute. I just got A Little Something Different for review and I am looking forward to it. There’s nothing coming out that I am super looking forward to besides Ellen Hopkins new book though.

  2. Chyna @ Lite-Rate-Ture

Thank you for sharing these! I’m so excited for The aftermath and A Little Something Different HAHA I’ve read I want it that way by Ann Aguirre, it’s not a good book. It’s better to just ignore it HAHA I’m so mean…

  3. Sarah C.

So many books I’ve been looking forward to: The Winter Guests, The Paying Guests, Six Feet Over It, A Little Something Different, and The Miniaturist! And One Death, Nine Stories and Greenglass House both look good. I see my hold list at the library growing much longer in the near future. 😉 Thanks for sharing!

Wow! This IS gonna be a full week, so many releases!
I always like this post cause it reminds me about how many books to expect that I’ve preordered! So far this week only two, Deliverance, I Want It That Way and A Little SOmething Different! But I think The Miniaturist is really calling my name too!
