A favorite of booksellers, reviewers, and readers alike, Susan Dennard has become widely known for her young adult epic fantasy saga set in the imaginative world of her New York Times bestselling series published by Tor Teen, the Witchlands, told through TruthwitchWindwitch, the special illustrated novella Sightwitch, and the forthcoming Bloodwitch (February 2019). Witchlands is set on a distant continent, in which some are born with a "witchery," a magical skill that sets them apart from others. The series follows best friends Safi (a Truthwitch) and Iseult (a Threadwitch), as well as the cunning ship captain Prince Merik (a Windwitch), and the mysterious and powerful Aeduan (a Bloodwitch) as they must navigate warring empires, political machinations, and mercenaries who seek to use their magic for selfish gain

About the Author

SUSAN DENNARD is the author of the New York Times bestselling Witchlands series as well as the Something Strange and Deadly series. She has come a long way from small-town Georgia. Working in marine biology, she got to travel the world—six out of seven continents (she’ll get to Asia one of these days!)—before she settled down as a full-time novelist and writing instructor. When not writing, she can be found hiking with her dogs, slaying darkspawn on her Xbox, or earning bruises at the dojo.

Anyway, without having read the book the only thing I can really say about it is that it has a GORGEOUS map and we all love a fantasy series with a gorgeous map. SO. I hereby bring you a list of:

Today we are partnering with the lovely people over at Little, Brown to bring you a fabulous giveaway for FROSTBLOOD by Elly Blake. It has a cover that is hella gorgeous and a blurb that got me glued. I am so excited to dive into this book and hope you guys are too! 🙂

About the Book

About the Author

Elly Blake loves fairy tales, old houses, and owls. After earning a degree in English literature, she held a series of seemingly random jobs, including project manager, customs clerk, graphic designer, and reporter for a local business magazine before finally landing on her current job as a library assistant. She lives in Southwestern Ontario with her husband, kids, and a Siberian Husky mix that definitely shows frostblood tendencies.

Giveaway: Spindle by E.K. Johnston

Posted by on 12/05/2016 • 9 Comments

Today we are partnering with the lovely people at Disney-Hyperion to bring you a fabulous giveaway! E.K. Johnston is an incredibly talented author and I am SO excited to read Spindle. I enjoyed A Thousand Nights and CRIED while reading The Garden of Three Hundred Flowers (a short b/w A Thousand Nights  and Spindle, more info will be below) so I am sure Spindle will be even better. Exit, Pursued by a Bear (a retelling of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale) was also one of my favorite books of the year so basically, I just need all of Johnston’s books in my life :’)

About the Book About the Author

E.K. Johnston had several jobs and one vocation before she became a published writer. If she’s learned anything, it’s that things turn out weird sometimes, and there’s not a lot…

The Vampire Academy series is one of my all-time favorites and today the fancy 10th anniversary edition also comes out. To celebrate 10 years of this wonderful book being out in the world, I am going to share my 5 reasons for reasons for reading this series!

1. OTP: Rose and Dimka

I am sorry, I should probably start with why Rose is extremely badass and stuff but Rose and Dimka are my favorite part about this series. AND NO I DONT HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES AS I AM TALKING ABOUT THEM. SOMEONE IS JUST CHOPPING ONIONS NEAR ME. They are one of my top 3 otps for a reason. They are incredibly supportive of one another and so good at communicating. They have their problems too but they work…

Later this week I’ll be posting my review but today you can read Tara’s guest post about diversity in her life (and the novel) & enter to win a pretty finished copy for yourself!

Guest Post by Tara Dairman

Diversity is Delicious

Unlike Gladys Gatsby, the star of All Four Stars, I didn’t grow up eating adventurously. I was actually a lot more like her picky friend Parm Singh—content to subsist on spaghetti, cereal, and multivitamins, and never try anything new.

That all changed—as…
