The voice is a powerful thing…

Russell Leonard is a centuries-old Guardian who’s lost faith in his purpose. So when he’s charged with procuring the first female Guardian in over two centuries, he can only hope it’s the red-headed beauty who’s been haunting his dreams for months. And if it is, he intends to claim her as his. But when he finds his dream woman, Annabelle is mute and bears no Guardian’s Mark.

He soon realizes she’s been tainted by an ancient evil. Russell must somehow release the secrets trapped within this delicate soul to help her tap into the only weapon powerful enough to silence a millennia-old demon—her voice.

Sometimes hiding the truth requires more than a lie..

From the outside, Coley Sterling’s life seems pretty normal . . . whatever that means. It’s not perfect—her best friend is seriously mad at her and her dance team captains keep giving her a hard time—but Coley’s adorable, sweet crush Reece helps distract her from the annoying drama. Plus, she has a great family to fall back on—with a stepdad and mom who would stop at nothing to keep her and her siblings happy and safe.

But Coley has a lot of secrets. She won’t admit—not even to herself—that her almost-perfect life is her own carefully-crafted façade. That for years she’s been burying the shame and guilt over a relationship that crossed the line. Now, Coley and Reece are getting closer, and as Coley has the chance at her first real boyfriend, a decade’s worth of lies are on the verge of unraveling.

I really love both of these covers. Awaited is the sequel to Wasteland which I read a few weeks ago and really enjoyed. It’s a paranormal that’s classified in the new “new adult” genre so it’s great for older YA readers. I really recommend you give it a go. If you’re curious, you can click here for my review of Wasteland. Live Through This sounds really good; I predict an emotional ride. I’ve been loving contemporaries lately so I can’t wait to get my hands on both of these!
What do you think of these lovelies?

O_O The Live Through This cover is stunning! No matter how many times I get burned, I’m still a sucker for a pretty cover.
Having to wait until October didn’t sit well with me, though. 🙂

They are both great in different ways. The Awaited cover definitely draws me in and the Live Through This cover is just beautiful!
