Eva and David hide from the infected in the abandoned PODs. Together they try to build a life--a new beginning. But the infected follow and are relentless in their attacks. Leaving Eva and David to fight for survival, and pray for a cure.
Ok, who does not think this sounds totally awesome? This sounds like a dystopian/zombie/post-apocalyptic story which, really, sounds freaking cool! I can't believe we have to wait a year and a half for this! Really! CRUEL!

Whoa. I adore those covers. They're so bright and lovely. I've honestly just been staring at them for like two minutes straight.
Oh I have to agree with you Giselle... waiting for this book will be very hard. The blurb makes me want to go out a grab a copy right away. I'm also loving the whole "dystopian/zombie/post-apocalyptic" feel to it as well. PODs does sound amazing! First I loved the idea of the lottery and hiding out till everyone dies. But then zombies! oh no! All my favorite things! Plus romance! LOL I'll be adding it! But sucks its not out till 2013!

PODs sounds good. I've never heard of it before. The Brightest Kind of Darkness series is new to me too! Both are new and fresh choices.
Both books featured sound great, but I'm especially intrigued by PODs. I definitely think that could be a series I could really enjoy. Excellent picks!

I haven't read Brightest Kind of Darkness, but I am very happy with the Lucid cover! Thank goodness for girls NOT wearing prom dresses in odd settings, the jacket and scarf seem much more appropriate.

PODs sounds AWESOME. In reading that synopsis alone, I already felt so much anticipation and restlessness over what life will be like when the PODs are open o___O But ugh, the wait! Over a year?! Ouch. But yay for a unique spin on the whole post-apocalyptic/zombie story.
