Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week. 

It’s going to be a short post this week as my mailbox was pretty lonely, but I did find a few good reads at the sales tables which I’m pretty happy about. Also if you missed it this week, I listed my top zombie books on this week’s Big Girls Don’t Cry – on the zombie subject, just got back from seeing World War Z and I though it was pretty awesome! The story and zombie lore were both so well thought out (note that I haven’t read the book, but I do hear it’s nothing like it). Anyways, there were also 2 new giveaways posted on the blog this week make sure to enter! 🙂

    I’ve seen Michael Griffo’s first book around but nobody’s ever reviewed it in the blogosphere I feel like. Oooh, Such a Rush and You Against Me sound like great contemporaries. <3 I've never heard of Bystander, but I hope you enjoy it! Lovely books (and bookmarks!), happy reading!

    Oh those bookmarks, want! I need to get myself to see WWZ too – loved the book but as long as I know in advance that the movie is completely different, I can deal with that lol.

    Can’t go wronng w 5$ lol. Especially if you end up liking them. I didn’t enjoy You Against Me that much, but it was readable. Such a Rush, I hear, is amazing. Heh, the bookmark on the left is cute, the other one not so much. Kinda creepy, but hey, you’re the zombie lover, so I guess it’s right up your alley, ha 😀 Ps. Glad you liked the movie, I don’t think it’s my kinda movie + the trailer has basically the same music as Prometheus’ trailer and that movie was disgusting and creepy LOL. I like my aliens Daemon Black style, heh.

    $5 deals are the best. There’s a store in the city here with books that are all $5 but they sell out all the good books so fast -.-
    Anyhoo, I recently borrowed Such A Rush and it looks like a refreshing read. And those bookmarks are seriously kick-ass and creepy! Love it.

    I really enjoyed You Against Me, it was a good contemporary novel 🙂 Hope you’ll like it, too, G! 🙂 And yeah.. I miss Chapters.. There’s no other place where you can get books like that for $5! Glad to be living right by the boarder, I can always make a trip.. Not that I need any more books hahah 🙂

    Such a Rush is on sale right now for the Kindle, so I’m on the fence about whether or not to buy it! It seems fantastic, and pshh, how can you go wrong with that cover?! 😉 But for $5 (and a hardcover at that!), that seriously is an awesome deal. You Against Me also looks really good. And those are such adorable bookmarks. <3 I really need to buy some of my own, because I always end up using the randomest things as bookmarks- my latest one is my actual library card, haha.
