Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hey psst – you know who has a birthday this weekend? My gal Kara from Great Imaginations! You should all give her a bday shout-out! 😉 Also it’s less than a month to go until I’m off to Boston for my anniversary and to meet a few bloggers (my soulmate Amy for one) while I’m there at a book blogger meetup! If you’re from the area you should totes come! It’s on August 17th, and you can join our Facebook group here!

  1. Jen @ Pop! Goes The Reader

I absolutely adored Poison Princess when I read it last year, so much so that I invested a lot of time (and money!) reading the entirety of Kresley Cole’s adult romance series ‘Immortals After Dark’ afterward in order to pass the time until the release of Poison Princess‘ sequel in October. I thought it had such a unique, inventive premise and the romantic lead made me a little weak in the knees. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did and I’m really looking forward to hearing what you thought of it! 😀

Roomies sounds like such a fun read! And I have yet to read a book by A.S. King.. I hope you enjoy Reality Boy! I’ve heard amazing things about the summer series, I need to jump on them! Lovely books this week, happy reading, Giselle!

  3. Fahima @ I Read, Ergo I Write

Roomies! I love the sound of it! It’s been on my wishlist on Goodreads ever since I saw it. I cant wait for your review! 🙂

I’ve heard a lot about the Summer series, but have never gotten around to reading it. I’m hoping to sometime soon 🙂

  4. Nikki

POISON PRINCESS! AND OMG. THE ENTIRE SUMMER SERIES. Now I feel the urge to buy it. THANKS A LOT. ;P

If You Could Be Mine sounds super good, but not really my kind of book so I don’t know whether I should read it…? *weighs pros and cons*

That’s another impressive haul, Giselle.Memory’s cover is gorgeous.

Looking forward to your review on Dan Brown’s Inferno. I already have it in my TBR pile but I’m quite apprehensive to read it especially after reading bad reviews.

  6. Shannelle (The Tracery of Ink)

I’m interested to hear what you think of The Summer I Turned Pretty series. I saw it in bookstores, but never bought it because it wasn’t really something I thought I might like. But now, who knows? I might try it.

And that’s a great haul, Giselle.

  7. Kathy @ I Write, I Read, I Review

I hear you about the Costco prices! I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve given into the temptation of getting something just because the price was so awesome. 😀 Anyway, I hope you have a great week. Happy reading! 🙂

  8. Megan (Ink Skies)

EEP, you got White Space! Though I wasn’t really a fan of Ilsa’s previous series (Ashes), I’m really excited for this one, because she’s proven that she can definitely write. And the cover’s awesome. I hadn’t heard of Memory before this, so thanks for putting it on my radar! That cover’s GORGEOUS. Boo, we hardly have any sales here, but those pretties! I want Poison Princess so bad. *grabs*

Have a lovely week, darling, and enjoy all your new books!

Your Costco haul is AWESOME, Giselle. I miss that store, I haven’t had a membership for a couple years now. *grumbles* Anyway, I have that Jenny Han set and I’m hoping to read it this summer. I’ve never seen it in a box set like that before – pretty! I got mine in the bargain section at Chapters so two of them are paperback and one’s hardcover. Poison Princess is fantastic, I’m actually surprised you haven’t read it yet! I think you’ll enjoy it. I’m on the waiting list at my library for Inferno. I’ll look forward to all your reviews. Happy reading! 🙂

I am a bit jealous that you found the Summer books so cheap. I have been wanting to splurge on them for awhile, but I am having to watch my pennies. And Poison Princess! Supposedly it’s great, but it’s one I’m having trouble getting to because of my TBR mountain.

  11. Grace Fonseca

Nice haul of books. I see some books that I hadn’t heard of. Poison Princess was very good. Quarantine has gotten a lot of mixed reviews. Interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Beautiful haul Giselle! So many brilliant looking books. That box set looks so awesome, I definitely want to look into getting it myself. I need to read some of Dan Brown’s works, I’ve heard really good things about them.

  15. Micheline @ Lunar Rainbows

Ooooh you got Inferno!! Seeing that book lately makes me want to finally get into the series – well that and since we chatted about it during one of our morning waits in line to go in at BEA 😉 I’ve heard great things about Poison Princess too so curious to see how you’ll like that one! Congrats on all the goodies this week & I wish I was tagging along to Boston too >.<
