Stacking the Shelves (72)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hi everyone! Happy thanksgiving weekend to my fellow Canadians! And that means Halloween is just around the corner, too! Anyone have big plans or costume parties? I’m gonna be off trick-or-treating with my 3 year old which should be awesome (I get to eat all the candy once he’s in bed! Muahahaha). Anyways, sorry I’ve been MIA from Twitter lately, I’ve been pretty busy with things and we also got Netflix last week so yeeaaah. πŸ˜€ Now for my book haul. Only got some ebooks this week and last. I think my mailman is on strike >.<

THIS WEEK’S BOOK HAUL:

*Big thanks to Grand Central Publishing,Β MTV Books, Pocket Star,Β St. Martin’s Press, and Gallery BooksΒ  for these pretties!*

That’s all for me this week!

Don’t forget to link me to your book haul!
Ciao!

I’m absolutely dying to read Me Since You especially because of Ellen Hopkins’s blurb so I can’t wait to see what you think of it!
Happy thanksgiving weekend to you too and hope you have fun trick-or-treating! πŸ˜‰

    Happy Reading!

  2. Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life

I’m honestly surprised that I haven’t heard of ANY of these books before. However, Me Since You? Um, looks awesome, even though contemp normally isn’t really my thing. Also, I loooove the covers for Plague and Above. They just have this creepy, atmospheric feel to them that is so enticing.

I’m going to be checking out some of these books!! I can’t see what you think of them. =)

Happy reading, Giselle, and Happy Thanksgiving to you! <3

Happy Thanksgiving, Giselle! I hope you and your family get a nice, big turkey to celebrate. πŸ˜€ And haha, leave it to Netflix to make sure you don’t do the stuff you’re supposed to do. πŸ˜‰ Which is one of the main reasons why I don’t watch TV — no time, and it’d probably become more of a distraction than for entertainment.

I’ve never heard of any of these books except for BOLD TRICKS, but OMG, does THE PLAGUE look awesome! I have a thing for apocalyptic books, so thanks for putting that one on my radar. And ABOVE. It sounds amazing. The synopsis just raises so many questions.

Gah, thanks so much for making me want to request more books than I can read. T_T But anyway, great haul, and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Ooooh, Above sounds really interesting. It sounds like a psychological thriller, which I LOVE.

As for Plague…that actually sounds like a dystopian done right, haha. It will also help that I haven’t read any adult dystopians either. Fresh eyes, I suppose!

  5. Micheline

Ouf, some really eye-catching pretties this week doll! I really do need to get into the Sins & Needles series, even despite my contemporary slump, I still feel like I’d get really addicted to them πŸ˜€ Rain of the Ghost and Above seem interesting too! Enjoy your goodies!!

  6. Jack

Plague and Above look really good! I’ve added them to my TBR, they look the perfect books for me. Hope you enjoy these, Giselle! Great haul! πŸ™‚

Oh my gosh. I need The Plague. NEED. That comparison to Contagion did it… I freaking love that movie. Above sounds totally trippy too. Can’t wait to see what you think of those. And ooh… hope you love Bold Tricks. Happy Reading!
