Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hello lovely people of books! Have you all been to see Catching Fire yet? Thoughts? I really liked it and can’t wait for the 3rd! Also – did you see the Vampire Academy trailer too? Was that a joke? Is it meant to be a parody? PLEASE TELL ME THAT WAS NOT REAL!! *clears throat* Ok so yeah. I know we’ve been a bit scarce on our posting of our BGDC feature we all got kind of busy, but we’re getting in that groove again. This week I posted about book sizes! Also I have a few giveaways happening at the moment – check em out here. And in case you missed it I also have a giveaway on Xpresso Book Tours where you can win a Kindle Paperwhite or a gift card!

We just saw Catching Fire and loved it! The VA trailer was clearly, obviously a BIG JOKE that I’m not in on. I’m definitely not watching that at the movie theaters – even though I loved the books.

  2. Emily

So… many… pretties!!! :O My friend watched Catching Fire, and she thought it was much better than The Hunger Games! What about you? πŸ™‚
Looks like you had a totally awesome week! πŸ˜€ Thanks for sharing, and happy reading Giselle!! <33

  3. Andie

Nice haul for this week. I hope you enjoy your new reads! I haven’t gone to see Catching Fire yet. I’m still recovering from bronchitis and the weather is just terrible right now. I’m staying inside where it is nice and warm.

I really liked Stir Me Up and it was way different from other NA books. It was cute while it managed to hold intensity with the war vet kid. I hope that you enjoy all of your new pretties, Giselle πŸ™‚

    Very nice haul!
I still haven’t watching Cathing Fire but I’ve heard many good reviews, so I’m quite happy about that! Going to see it on the 30th with my nephews, I think!

  6. Kelsey

I haven’t seen Catching Fire yet, but I have tickets for tomorrow night! I’m really excited to see it too. I haven’t seen the VA trailer yet either.
Nice haul this week, Stir Me Up looks cute.
    Have a great week!

So I haven’t seen the Vampire Academy trailer and now I’m scared to! Yikes. Such good books, too.

I hope you like 16 Things I Thought Were True! I thought it was really good. I was kind of on the fence about The Truth About You and Me, though … I look forward to seeing what you think!

    Have a good week!

Awesome stack of books! I especially want to read THREE. Oh, I loved Catching Fire! I thought it was so well done, and it just flew by even though it was kind of long. At the screening I went to they showed a trailer for Divergent…EEEE can’t wait:)

Ooooh you got some GREAT reads!

Saw Catching Fire yesterday with my mom and I loooved it!It was perfect. The casting was amazeballs. Loved it all.

The VA trailer was laughable. It made me realize I was not going to waste my time seeing that movie.

Catching Fire was AMAZING! So so good! I wish they would have made VA into a TV series than a movie. They are changing it too much to try to appeal to a bigger audience I think. Other than Hunger Games, I think all books should be made into tv shows, not movies. Especially if they have 6 books in the series.
Anyway, After Party looks good and I hope you like Stir Me Up. Enjoy!

Oh Vampire Academy… I was looking forward to it at one point, but ever since the teaser trailer, I’ve slowly started wondering if it’s worth seeing at all. I have no idea why they would go for a vibe that doesn’t reflect the book at all. -_- I’m looking forward to Catching Fire though! I hope to watch it as soon as I can. Enjoy all your new books, lovely! I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Something Real. πŸ™‚

Yes! Catching Fire is amazing! I can’t wait to see it again and probably again. And probably again.
I agree. I LOL’d pretty hard when the VA trailer came on. So sad when they have to ruin what could have been a good movie. Alright, getting a little ahead of myself. Maybe the trailer is just awful…but I can’t see that being the case.
