Stacking the Shelves (78)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

How’s everyone this weekend? Getting your Christmas shopping done? I’m all about shopping online 😀 But yeah blog people seem to be going quieter and quieter for the holidays. A few are on hiatus and such. I will likely be putting mine on a few day hiatus when it comes close to Christmas. No one really reads blogs those days anyhow, plus I rather spend time with my lil one than worry about posting 🙂 So I went a lil crazy with digital ARCs this week – weeks like these are when my lack of self control shows through >.< Also before you go, don’t forget to put your last entries in for the These Broken Stars giveaway, it ends in a couple of days!

THIS WEEK’S BOOK HAUL:

We got 6 of the same books this week. Don’t Call Me Baby, (Don’t You) Forget About Me, After The End, Sleep No More, The Murder Complex and Wicked Games. I could have nabbed some of the other but I figured that I probably had enough. Yes I forced myself to draw a line.

  2. Kristen@My Friends Are Fiction

Wow, that package was mutilated. I can’t believe the books survived! Glad they did though.whew.

I was very tempted to download all the Harper titles but somehow I have resisted (so far). I can’t wait to see what you think of them! Enjoy 🙂

  3. Pili

What an awesome haul! I’m quite envious of some of the eARCs you got yourself there!

That poor parcel! Thankfully all the books survived, but seems that it had a tough trip till it got to your house!

  4. Kelsey

I finished all of my Christmas shopping the other week, it feels good to get it done early too.
Ooh pretty books. I got After the End, The Murder Complex, and Don’t you Forget About Me off Edelweiss among a few others and I’m excited to read them!
That package looks completely destroyed! Glad the books were okay though.
    Have a great week! 🙂

  5. Grace Fonseca

Nice haul of books. I see lots of pretties in this haul. I’m still waiting to see if I get approved for Don’t Look Back. I also got After The End and Don’t You Forget About Me. Great stack of books. Come visit me too.

  6. Kelly @ Diva Booknerd

What the hell were the postal services doing with that parcel, absolutely incredible. Thankfully they arrived somewhat safely. I think as it gets closer to Christmas, we’ll see a lot more damaged parcels.

I so badly want After The End, but rarely use edelweiss and missed out. Whenever I go on there, they never have anything. I probably should sign up for a newsletter or something. Awesome haul Giselle

  7. Sassy @ My Never Ending Pile

That package looks awful! Glad the books were okay! I need to put my blog on hiatus in January since little man is due to arrive, but there is so much I want to do on the blog before his due date of the 29th. I was sick this week and slacked on blogging. I’m finally feeling better and am getting the energy to read back. You got lots of great books that I hope you enjoy!

  8. Alise

Dang, looks like something chewed that package up and spit it out! Awesome books, though-glad they were still in great shape! I’ll have to check out your Steelheart review, I hear awesome things. Can’t wait for your thoughts on these, especially Teardrop.

  9. Mel@thedailyprophecy

Wow, what happened to that poor package 😮 I also got some of those books (don’t you forget about me, the murder complex). I’ve heard mixed things about teardrops.. Happy reading!

  10. Emily

Wheet. That package… What a wreck! >< But at least the books were safe 😉 I've got quite a few similar ones to you too 😀 Like After The End, and I also can't wait to see what mind-blowing stuff Kate Karyus Quinn brings us next! 😉
Awesome haul, Giselle, and happy reading! <33

  11. Eileen @ Singing and Reading in the Rain

I actually love the cover of Fan Art it looks adorable and I’m really into chick lits and stuff like that right now. Harper got a lot of their new 2014 titles on Edelweiss and I hope you enjoy all of the ones that you downloaded! 🙂 I had no idea JLA was coming out with a new book too it seems like she pops them out every other week I keep seeing news of her new releases!

Enjoy, Giselle! <33 Shame about the package but luckily the books did okay 🙂

  12. Chel

Great books, Giselle! I also downloaded some of these. You should also get The Last Best Kiss! I recently read it and I loved it. <3 Happy reading!

  13. Aneeqah @ My Not So Real Life

Ahh, I’m so jealous of all these shiny ARCs! I’ve been going pretty crazy with the e-ARCs lately too, though, so I guess I really shouldn’t be saying anything at all. But After the End looks SERIOUSLY awesome. I love those kinds of dark reads, and so I think I’m going to love it once it comes out. Letters to Nowhere also sounds so gritty, although I’m still not sure how I feel about Julie Cross, even though it’s been forever since her huge drama. Also, that cover for Don’t Look Back is GORGEOUS. I haven’t heard of that one before, but the cover intrigues me so much, so I’m going to check that one out. I’m curious to see what you think of Teardrop, since there’s been a lot of mixed reviews for that one thus far.

Lovely haul, Giselle! I’m glad all your books made it safely to you, despite how horribly that package was torn up. =P Happy reading! <3

  14. Bonnie

I also picked up Don’t You Forget About Me. Super excited for that one. I was tempted by After the End but I decided to hold off and see what people think of it.
Dude, your package got mauled by some rabid animal. Glad to see the books survived though!

  15. That Girl Reads

I would have DIED had my package came to me like that. I always feel my heart stop a little whenever I see a tiny rip in a package. It’s like, “does no one know that these are my babies? Why are they hurting my precisoussssss!” lol

On a side note, I am so envious of all your goodies. So much awesome!!

  16. Erin

    I really want Teardrop!

That package looked like it was massacred, wow. Did someone at the post office get angry at it??

And I’m also all about the online shopping 🙂
