Giselle’s Stacking the Shelves [Feb 9]

Posted by

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hi guys! Is everyone watching the Olympics? I don’t watch sports at all but the Olympics is the one exception. Bring it Canada! Whooo! Now on the blog this week there were a couple of giveaways posted, I especially hope you all have entered our Birthday giveaway – plus you can even see our baby faces so you can’t miss that!! Also on that note, this is Jenni’s bday weekend so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JENNI! *Throws confetti party*

I received for review:

Three by Kristen Simmons
The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith
Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong
The Merciless by Gabrielle Vega
Fiendish by Brenna Yovanoff
Torn Away by Jennifer Brown

*Big thanks to Hachette Children’s Books Canada, Razorbill, Random House Canada, Tor Teen, HarperCollins, St. Martin’s Griffin, and Sourcebooks Fire for these pretties!*

I finally got myself a copy of this – been waiting for the hype to die down before I read it.

That’s all for me this week!

Eeeeep, we got three of the same books. I got In The End, On The Fence & Complicit as well this week. I already read Complicit and holy crap was it awesome and mind-blowing. I cannot wait to read On The Fence as Kasie West is awesome as are her books. I’m buying In The After this week so I can read In The End right after it.

    Happy reading lovely!

I’m so jealous of the upper row on that pic 😉 Heh. I think you did well with waiting for the Allegiant hype to die a little lol–you aren’t pressured to love this and you’ll be able to feel whatevery you want to feel. Ok, that didn’t make any sense, but still. Wise move 😀

Eeep, I so want to read The Girl from The Well! It sounds really awesome. I love Three, it was a great ending to the trilogy, imo. I loved Armstrong’s Darkest Power trilogy, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about Sea of Shadows. So, still on the fence about reading it.

Oh man Giselle, this is a fantastic haul! I’ve read The Geography of You and Me and it’s absolutely wonderful, you’ll love it! I’m also so very jealous of everyone who has received On The Fence, I just really want to get my hands on it, and Fiendish, oh my! Great Haul! 😀

The Geography of You and Me! I can’t wait to read that one. I’ve read both of Jennifer’s other books and really liked them! I hope this one is just as good. 🙂 I’m interested to see what you think of Allegiant … I wasn’t a fan of Insurgent but read this one and it was good, still not my favourite ending to a series, but it was more enjoyable than the second book. Enjoy all your reads!

I’ve been dying to get my hands on a copy of In The End, book one was a real surprise for me. I’d seen a few not so favorable reviews, but I ended up loving it!

Happy birthday Jenni. I’ve got one of those awful birthday’s coming up in a few days too 🙂

I love sports and I especially love to watch the Olympics though some stuff is on at weird times for me since there’s the time difference.

I see some really awesome reads in your haul pile. Happy Reading!

Complicit and In the End are two books I’ve been practically DROOLING over. I read In the After at the beginning of this year and LOVED IT. I absolutely cannot WAIT to read the sequel. <3 And Complicit just has such an interesting summary and it sounds very intriguing. (:

Happy birthday, Jenni!! *throws confetti* You got a lot of fantastic titles this week; The Geography of You and Me looks really cute and so does On the Fence *screams* I got that one this week as well and I seriously can’t stop fangirling over the fact that I’m going to be able to read it soon. I remember Jenni loved Three so I hope you do, too. Happy reading, Giselle! <33
