Giselle’s Stacking the Shelves [March 23]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

How is spring treating everyone so far? Are you still getting snow like us? What gives, mother nature? Don’t you have a calendar? >.< And has anyone watched The 100 pilot? I thought it was pretty meh, but pilots sometimes are so it still has potential. What about Divergent? That any good? I won’t be able to watch it for a couple of weeks *sobs* So on to the bookish pretties I got this week! 🙂

THIS WEEK’S BOOK HAUL:
(Click on covers for Goodreads)

I received for review:

Ebook haul:
IMM3 IMM5 IMM1
IMM2 IMM4

And I got this colorful package from Penguin Canada.

Take Back the Skies by Lucy Saxon

*Big thanks to Macmillan Publishers, St. Martin’s Press, Harlequin Teen, and Penguin Canada for these pretties!*

That’s all for me this week!
XOXO

I got Take Back The Skies a few weeks ago, very excited for it as it’s written by a very young author (though could go drastically wrong) Trial by Fire looks great, looking forward to you review of it!

    Happy reading, Giselle! <33

  2. Jennifer @ Some Like It Paranormal

Oohhh I really want to read Take Back The Skies! I also love the cover for How To Fall. Just barely saw that for the first time on another STS post. Will have to check it out. I enjoyed The 100 pilot. I still need to see Divergent as well but so far I’ve heard good things. Enjoy!

  3. Melliane

They’re all new to me this week but I’m so curious about them,I love the covers and I’m impatient to see your opinion about them. Happy reading!

  4. Cait @ Notebook Sisters

Mortal Danger has a FANTASTIC cover…although I’m kind of struggling to read the font at first and then I had to look it up on Goodreads. *shrugs* I still love it. How to Fall looks rather eerie…gee, is she running off a bridge? I hope not. :/ Definitely intrigued for that one! 😉 And I won’t be seeing Divergent for aaaages. *sobs wildly* It doesn’t come out in Australia until the 10th of April. Noooo WHY TORTURE ME SO.

The snow here is driving me crazy, we pretty much had a blizzard yesterday during the morning. I haven’t seen Divergent, but I’m not really sure if I want to. My fiance really wants to though lol.

Your new books all look so good this week! I haven’t heard of most of these, but I do recognize a few covers. I hope you enjoy them and I can’t wait to see your reviews 🙂 Have a great week!

Great haul! I am really excited about Mortal danger, Ann Aguirre is one of my favorite authors so I cant wait to see what she came up with next. I hope you love it. Happy reading 🙂

  7. Kristin@Blood,Sweat and Books

Mortal Danger is one I can’t wait to read. Take Back the Skies looks interesting, I don’t think I’ve heard of it before though. Love the cover for Trial by Fire. I will have to check out the title further on Goodreads. Enjoy all your books and hopefully you get some warmth and sunshine this week as well.

  8. Faye @ The Social Potato

TAKE BACK THE SKIES O_O omg, I really want to read that 🙂 I requested an ARC of that one so hopefully my request will be heard by the publishing gods. I love the premise, the cover, the title, EVERYTHING. It’s my “upcoming-books-obsession” right now. I hope you have fun reading it! <3

  9. Mel@thedailyprophecy

Ohhh, you have some pretty covers there! 🙂 Mortal danger, Trial by fire and The dark world are high on my reading list. I really like the sound of the demons in the last one.

The only book which I’ve heard of is Take Back the Skies, and that’s because it’s an UK author, and there seems to be a lot of promising praise for her so far, I look forward to seeing how you find her book. I am quite intrigued about Evidence not Seen, I may have to check out what that book is about! I hope you enjoy all your pretties Giselle! 🙂

  11. Aimee @ Deadly Darlings

Awesome haul, Giselle! I got The Dark World this week as well! Mortal Danger has such a beautiful cover and I definitely hope the content’s just as wonderful. ^_^ I’ve been seeing Trial By Fire around a lot of people’s wishlists as well, so I hope you enjoy that one! Happy reading, dear! <3

Nice haul Giselle, Mother Nature is on crack..that is all! We go from 68 to 14 and snow. I am over it and want my flip-flops. I DVR’d 100 and haven’t watched yet but others are saying it was Meh too. Enjoy your new pretties.

  13. Brittany

Divergent is fantastic! Soooo close to the book. And just works well on screen. Theo stole the show though. He is Tobias. I can’t wait to see it again. 🙂
Great haul! Take Back the Skies sounds fantastic. And Mortal Danger too.
    So many things!
    Happy reading, Giselle!

So glad Spring is here. Fortunately, we’re not getting snow… although we had a weirdly mild Winter compared to the rest of you snowed in folks. Hope it stops for you soon! Super excited for Mortal Danger, it sounds fantastic and Ann has yet to disappoint me. 🙂 Happy Reading!

I haven’t gotten any snow since December. It doesn’t snow much where I live (Southern Oregon)–we oftentimes joke about how little it snows–and I almost wish that I was getting some of all that snow that you’ve been getting. But only some of it.

I saw Divergent on Sunday, and it was really good. It was a good film adaptation.

As for the books, I see two books that I’m dying to read (Trial by Fire and Mortal Danger)! I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that you will love both of them.
