Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hey guys! How sucky is it to lose an hour this weekend? Boo to that! I’ve been keeping busy with getting our current house ready to go on the market – we’re starting the process of getting a house built this summer so that’s a bit scary and stressful. Ooh and I was finally able to register for BEA this week and I’m getting excited! Less than 3 months to go! Whoo! So this week I got some awesome packages in the mail. A few surprise ones and a belated birthday gift from the lovely Amy.

THIS WEEK’S BOOK HAUL:
(Click on covers for Goodreads)

I received for review:

Ebook haul:
IMM4 IMM5 The Lost

Then I got some awesome packages from Macmillan (both top corners) and Disney Hyperion. The mask and Summer of Chills puzzle came with the Macmillan thriller/horror books which is really cool! The mask is kind of like those hot and cold packs -you know, to soothe my face from all the reading! πŸ˜‰

Second Star by Alyssa B. Sheinmel
Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
–Β The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu
Far From You by Tess Sharpe
Dark Metropolis by Jaclyn Dolamore

And this lovely pretty from Penguin Canada:

*Big thanks to Macmillan Publishers, Harlequin Mira,Β EgmontUSA, Harper Collins, and Penguin Canada for these pretties!*

The lovely Amypie from Book Loving Mom sent me this for my birthday!Β Thanks, muffin! I loved Hunting Lila and I had been wanting to get this sequel for so long!

Awesome haul this week. I love the look of Dark Metropolis, and those cold masks are brilliant for sore, puffy eyes. Pop it on before bed, and it tightens up the skin around your eyes. Also great for headaches. The book doesn’t look half bad either. Lol. Thanks for sharing.

that’s so nice! I saw born of deception, but I wasn’t sure if it was a book 1… and well I’m so late in my ebooks. Happy reading!

Great haul, Giselle! I cannot wait to hear what you think of some of those books, specially Pointe and LOST cause I’m very intrigued by them!
    Happy reading!

  4. Cait @ Notebook Sisters

OMG…Amity has such a freaktastic cover. *dashes to Goodreads* I think I suddenly need that. Awesome haul, too! I’d love to read Pointe and Second Star. Nothing like a bit of Peter Pan stuff to make you realise you need to learn to surf or find Neverland. (Woot for surfing!)

  5. Jessica @ Rabid Reads

Wow, excellent haul πŸ™‚ As wary as I am of zombie books, I have to admit that Dark Metropolis looks really good, and I also want to check out Don’t Look Back (I’m a long-time JLA fan).

  6. Amanda @ Book Badger

I’ve gotten Amity too and I’m quite nervous because I’m only just getting into my Horror, but I know you love it, so here’s hoping it’s good for you! The Summer of Chills package is fantastic, I’ve been seeing that on other blogs too and I’m so jealous, because I’ve been considering Don’t Look Back for a while now, damn.
    Great collection though Giselle πŸ™‚

Amity has been added straight onto my wishlist. It’s been a while since I curled up with a creepy horror book. I’m trying to tackle my out of control tbr first though so I’m trying to show restraint in my buying…Enjoy!

I got the Summer of Chills package too. I was pumped πŸ™‚ I’ve started Don’t Look Back and am enjoying it so far. I am too scared to download Amity. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I am also very curious about Second Star but with the contemp feel I’m not sure it would be for me. I’m waiting to see the blogger reaction before I decide on it. Great haul! Have a great week.

  9. Faye @ The Social Potato

Amity and Lost!! Those sound like really good reads ToT I haven’t really received anything special this book, but hopefully I’ll get some awesome ones next time. I’m not really in a hurry, though… haha

  10. Wendy Darling

Ooo, pretty! I have all the same Disney and Macmillan books, I’m really hoping the chill books really are full of chills and thrills. I’ve heard awesome things about POINTE, too–I’m hoping a copy arrives for me soon.

    Happy reading, Giselle!

  11. Tina

Losing Lila! I’ve wanted to read Hunting Lila foreverrrrr. My daugher’s name is Lyla so that’s about half the reason haha

  12. Brittany

I’m soooo excited for Don’t Look Back, Second Star and Far From You!
Great haul Giselle! And yay for BEA finally opening registration. πŸ™‚
