"You have to kill him." Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain.

Only Em can complete the final instruction. She’s tried everything to prevent the creation of a time machine that will tear the world apart. She holds the proof: a list she has never seen before, written in her own hand. Each failed attempt in the past has led her to the same terrible present—imprisoned and tortured by a sadistic man called the doctor while war rages outside.

Marina has loved her best friend James since the day he moved next door when they were children. A gorgeous, introverted science prodigy from one of America’s most famous families, James finally seems to be seeing Marina in a new way, too. But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles apart, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Now someone is trying to kill him. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it. At least not as the girl she once was.

Interview with Cristin Terrill

Hi Cristin, I’m so happy to have you on the blog today. All Our Yesterdays is awesome and I’m honored to be part of the tour!

Let’s start with telling us a bit about how you got the idea for All Our Yesterdays.

The initial kernel of the idea for All Our Yesterdays came to me when I was watching The Terminator on cable late one night because I couldn’t sleep. I was thinking about how different the story would be if the killer robot from the future was actually the good guy (and also a teenage girl).

What’s the hardest part about writing a plot involving time travel?

Keeping everything straight. As confusing as time travel can be for a reader, it’s a hundred times more confusing for me. I have to think through each tiny decision to see if it will inadvertently unravel the entire plot!

If you could go back in time, when/where would you visit?

I would want to go back to Renaissance London and see an original Shakespearean production at the Globe Theatre.

What are some of your writing habits or quirks?

Hmm, I don’t know that I have any particular quirks, at least not interesting ones! M habits are likewise pretty regimented and boring. I just go to the library, listen to white noise on my phone, and write until I hit my daily word count.

I was totally one of a very long line of people you met at BEA *high five* – what is it like to be on the other side of that table?

Very surreal! Nothing about that day felt real. I went into some kind of weird fugue state during that signing where time seemed to become much slower and much faster at the same time. I don’t even think I was spelling my name right by the end.

In case you didn’t hear me chat about it all week on Twitter – and since I kept my design the same like I wanted – I’m now on WordPress! Yay!

*Firstly, there will not be a Fresh Batch post this week – been too busy with the move – and FYI old posts may look weird until I can get to them! :)*

Why did I move? I don’t know if you heard but Blogger has been on a rampage lately in shutting down blogs. Though I’ve only confirmed 3 because they were blogs I knew, I’ve heard of 8-10 book blogs were shut down in 2 days this week. This finally pushed me to take the leap that I have been worried about making for a year, now….

I have never seen any of the original Star Wars. Or any Indiana Jones. Or The Sound of Music. Call me un-American if you will. I did, however, seen the Baz Lurhmann  Romeo and Juliet seven times in the movie theater. So I think that proves that I’m not only a bit of a creature of habit, but when I like something I tend to become a…
