Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books
I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week
.

This week at Xpresso Reads

It was another fabulous week weather-wise here so I was pretty absent on Twitter compared to usual. I know you miss me and all >.< So anything exciting happen this week? On the blog, the Lonely Souls blog tour came by for my review and you can win a great grand prize so don’t miss it! There were a lot of cover reveals as usual (is this like cover season!?) I posted a round-up post with six covers here. I was also part of the exclusive cover reveal for Doomed. There’s a link to win an ARC of it at Mundie Moms (I think today is the last day to enter!) You can also find more cover reveals on my Facebook page (be sure to like my page to not miss any! :) – I posted 8 or 9 this week.

On the sidebar you will find FIVE open giveaways at the moment, and all of them are internationally! You will also see a ton of new tour banners that were added (it was a very crazy week for tour invites!) New additions this week: Onyx, Send, My Super Sweet 16th Century, Renegade, Gravity, and Valkyrie Rising that will be stopping by the blog. Yeah… that’s a LOT of tours! O_O I love it!

I really need to read Obsidian! I don’t know why I keep putting it off! Not much happened on twitter this week. I saw someone is doing a read along for Pushing the Limits (which I see you’re currently reading) I think it’s going to be over at http://www.candacesbookblog.com/ can’t remember though. Anyways, looks like you got lots of fun books this week. I’ll be checking back to see your review of Lonely Souls. I just found that book on goodreads and I’m really curious about it. Awesome books! Tiger Lily looks really, really good! I can’t say I watched Peter Pan a lot, but I was a big Hook fan. :)

I really need to read that Mike Mullan series!! I’ve heard so many good things about Ashfall … and the covers are creepy and gorgeous!

The cover for Blind Spot is creepy! It sounds interesting …

So many book tours coming up! I look forward to seeing your posts for them. :)

  3. HayleyAG

I am so jealous of Onyx Giselle! :) haha And it’s Final Destination, I was saying it during your vlog and I’m like, yeah Hayley, she can’t hear you haha :)

  4. Shortskie

Valkyrie Rising is good, takes a little bit for things to get going, but the mythology is great :) And I loved Tiger Lily! My favorite read as of late :) Enjoy everything.

  5. lisseth

Great Stack Giselle! I agree Tiger Lily looks better with the re-orange cover. I got Valkyrie Rising too! I read Swipe & believe me it WILL SURPRISE YOU. I LOVED IT! Oh & happy to have you join our Renegade Tour! YAY =)

Tiger Lily looks great, and I love how the physical copy of Ashen Winter looks!! I like the cover of Lucid too :-)

I ordered Onyx from TBD, and it still hasn’t shipped, not sure why *sad* I hope it comes soon :-)

Anyways, great books, I really hope you love them all!

  8. Kim

Ohh I’ve been wanting to read Tiger Lily for AGES! I love Peter Pan and I’m super curious to see what this retelling is like! It’s weird though, I actually prefer this cover to the orange one :P Oh and Valkyrie Rising sounds AMAZING! I’m not really a fan of the cover unlike most people but ahh, it just sounds way too good to pass up! Fantastic haul this week and I hope you enjoy everything you got, Giselle! x)

  9. Mel

Valykerie Rising is going straight in my wishlist – it looks great!

I wish we were having good weather – wettest July on record so far in London! :-)

Five giveaways–you’re the giveaway queen this week! lol. Some excellent books added to your pile. I’ve heard amazing things about Tiger Lily and I really want to read Valkyrie Rising. Happy reading!

  12. Scarlett

I just recently heard about the Obsidian series, so will be starting that soon, but am excited for you that you got the second one. Not a lot of others are familiar to me, but I hope you enjoy them!

    Here’s a link to mine!

  13. Nick

    Awesome-sauce books, Giselle ! :)
I can’t wait to see your reviews for all these books.
Aww, it’s so cute the way you say “Armentrout” ! You have a French accent. :) <3
    Enjoy all your goodies !

  14. Jasprit

Awesome stack of books again this week Giselle, I also prefer the orangey/red cover of Tiger Lily too, but I’m super excited to read it too! Also yay for Onyx too! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on your books, hope you enjoy them all! :)

  15. Amy

OMG! I totally love your vlogs! You are too funny! So many awesome books this week! And holy hell Ashen Winter is huge! Good thing I saw that because I have it from NetGalley so I didn’t know how big it was. I probably could have checked the page count, but I’m too lazy for that lol!! You are going to freaking love Onyx!! Crap, I forgot to put Lucid in my StS. I got it read it and already wrote my review so I totally forgot to put in in there.

  16. Kathy Ann Coleman

Absolutely cannot wait for Onyx. (And it’s all your fault. :p I believe Obsidian was your recommendation?) Anyway, looks like you got a lot of great books. I’m sort of torn over whether I want to get Tiger Lily or not; though I do agree with you about the cover. The orange looks a lot better.

Anyway, have a great week. :) This summer’s been kicking my butt but I finally got some stuff done. I should actually have a few things out this week. (Editing + grandma + life + blogging does not work… Cannot wait for something to give a little.)

    Bye!

  17. Eileen

LOL I think I’m the ONLY person who hasn’t gotten Ashen Winter yet -.- I’m on the tour but I haven’t gotten the ARC yet LOL. I got Send and Valkyrie Rising this week too! :) I hope you enjoy Tiger Lily, and don’t worry, you’re not old! I had a VCR up until a year ago and I’m 13. -.- And I am SOOO jealous of Onyx I want that one…REALLY bad -.- Armentrout is pronounced Are-men-trow-t If you can get that LOL. :) Great haul as always! (On the inside I’m trying not to be overly jealous ;))

Check out my Stacking the Shelves!

  18. Mel - Thedailyprophecy.

Tiger Lily! I do prefer the other cover, but from what I read, the inside is very pretty <3 Can't wait to get this one myself! And I'm a bit jealous that you were at the pool all the time, the weather is sooo bad over here at the moment :( So enjoy! And happy reading ^^

  19. Katie @ BlookGirl

Yayyy! You got some amazing books this past week, and I am so excited that you’ll be reading Tiger Lily. I loved it and I hope you do, too. Peter Pan is my absolute favorite, and I used to rewind my VHS, too ;-)

Hope you enjoy all your lovelies, muffin! <3

  20. Marmaladelibby (aka Ange)

I got Tiger Lily too! How fun! We love Peter Pan’s story at our house so I can’t wait to read it. Rachel stole it first though but she’s a ridiculously fast reader. I actually like this green cover better then the orange finished HC. Interesting. Valkyrie Rising looks so good. I love Norse mythology!

  21. Bengal Reads

I am super stoked to read Valkyrie Rising! Ancient Warriors are definitely my cup of tea :) I can’t wait to get my hands on Tiger Lily and read it… I loved Peter Pan as a child too. White Lines also looks super interesting! Can’t wait to read your reviews on Valkyrie Rising, Tiger Lily, and White Lines! Looks like you had a wonderful week in books Giselle! I hope you enjoy everything :D Have a wonderful Sunday!

  23. Bonnie Regan

Great books this week Giselle! I’m reading Tiger Lily right now, it’s really good. :) And yes, Ashen Winter is huge, I would recommend you start it now. It took me forever to get through (but it was really good!) Have a great week!

  24. Aneeqah

Some really awesome books!! First off, however, I am totally jealous that you got on the tour for Renegade and Gravity!! >.< I wanted to get on those! But, anyways, you got some great books this week. Blind Spot, Lucid, and White Lines all look fabulous! And your cover for Tiger Lily is absolutely gorgeous. <3

    Enjoy all those books, Giselle!

Nice! Semi-Charmed sounds like a good read. Looking forward to the reviews specially Tiger Lily. Speaking of it i need to pick up my own copy. It sounds amazing and after i read it i’m sure i will hate Wendy even though i love her in Peter Pan.

    Happy reading! =D

  26. Addie R.

:OO You got Blind Spot & Valkyrie Rising!? I am so jelly right now!
And I’m loving the ARC cover of Tiger Lily, maybe even more than the official.
    Great haul & happy reading!

  27. Jenni @ Alluring Reads

I am ridiculously envious of you for getting Onyx, I need me some Daemon in my life!!! I hope you enjoy Swipe, I don’t want to be in trouble :( I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would and I’m excited to read Sneak. I really want White Lines and Ashen Winter to arrive over here, I waiting impatiently all week, hopefully I get them tomorrow!

  28. Aylee

Valkyrie Rising! That one sounds so good. I’m looking forward to reading more about Norse mythology rather than Greek mythology (not that I dislike the Greek stuff, it’s just nice to try something new). I also can’t wait to read Ashen Winter. And I quite like the ARC cover for Tiger Lily.

  29. Maji Bookshelf

Love your book haul. :D Hope you enjoy.
