My pick this week:

Waiting on Wednesday (92)Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg

Genres: Contemporary, YA

For Macallan and Levi, it was friends at first sight. Everyone says guys and girls can’t be just friends, but these two are. They hang out after school, share tons of inside jokes, their families are super close, and Levi even starts dating one of Macallan’s friends. They are platonic and happy that way.

Eventually they realize they’re best friends — which wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t keep getting in each other’s way. Guys won’t ask Macallan out because they think she’s with Levi, and Levi spends too much time joking around with Macallan, and maybe not enough time with his date. They can’t help but wonder . . . are they more than friends or are they better off without making it even more complicated?

From romantic comedy superstar Elizabeth Eulberg comes a fresh, fun examination of a question for the ages: Can guys and girls ever really be just friends? Or are they always one fight away from not speaking again — and one kiss away from true love?

I kind of love the idea of this book! It sounds like a great feel-good book with an awesome story. Plus I’ve read one of the author’s previous books (though ages ago) The Lonely Hearts Club and it was super sweet. And Take a Bow has amazing reviews so that bodes well for this one! 🙂

Aww… That looks so adorable! 🙂 It’s cute that instead of the cliched overused “love at first sight”, it’s “friends at first sight”! 😀

    Great one Giselle 🙂

Aw — this one sounds sweet! I like that they’re great friends & that they’re talking about the what if of it all. My best friend in HS was a guy and we had that talk, then decided we liked being friends better. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this one!

This sounds adorable! I think it would probably make a great movie:) I don’t read contemporary much, but if I did I’d probably pick this one up. Great choice!

This book tackles such an awesome idea! I can’t wait to see how the author pulls it off. Plus I’ve also been dying to read Elizabeth’s book Take a Bow.

Aww this sounds like it will be a great read. Definitely interested to see how they end up solving their dilemma. Great pick! Going straight to my TBR pile.

This one sounds different in a good way! Boys being friends with girls, who knew. Hope the story stays that way and they don’t end up together in the end anyways. lol
