Hi everyone, I hope you’re all taking advantage of the last weeks of summer *sniffs* I can’t believe how fast it went by. I also posted a new giveaway along with my review of Skylark where you can win a signed, personalized copy! Don’t forget to check my Facebook Page to keep up with the many cover reveals!

My guest review at Alluring Reads:
Stacking the Shelves

Sorry guys, no vlog again this week. What can you do? πŸ˜‰

Click on covers or title links for Goodreads

I got for review:

*Thanks to Cambria Hebert, and the lovely people at Egmont USA, Penguin Young Readers Group, Thomas Allen & Son, Simon & Schuster Canada, and Raincoast Books for these pretties*

I bought:

So I read and LOVED Feed so much (reviewed here) I ran out to buy the rest of the series. Sadly my bookstore only had the 3rd so I caved and paid way too much for an ebook because it’s just THAT good (and I refuse to wait for slow Canadian shipping – dog sledding can be rough in the summer)!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver (6$!! :D)
Blackout by Mira Grant
Deadline by Mira Grant

Peace out, lovelies!

Amazing haul, Giselle. πŸ™‚ Yay, you liked Feed- I’ve heard such good things about, so I’m really glad you enjoyed it too. I noticed you’re currently reading Speechless- it is one of my 2012 faves! What do you think of it so far?

    Happy reading. πŸ™‚

And ugh, Canadian shipping. Fast, swift aren’t words in their vocabulary, apparently..

  3. Millie

Oh, I am so going to follow you on Instagram! I just got my own this week, too!
Looks like you’ve got some great books to read πŸ™‚ Enjoy your book haul!

  4. Becca H

Agree with Canadian shipping. Such a pain! Especially lately since Chapters really has absolutely no new releases. They get there at least a week late. They always say buy online but, uh, the cost of shipping one book would equal more than buying it in a store.

Chapters rant aside, what a great haul! I just finished Beautiful Disaster. It was enjoyable, if not a little cliched.

Nerve looks good and I’m dying for the Feed series. I loved Beautiful Disaster, but it’s kind of a love or hate book full of drama, so be prepared! Hope you end up on the love side. Great haul Giselle. πŸ™‚

  6. Jennifer Messerschmidt

I enjoyed Beautiful Disaster. The relationship and characters are indeed a disaster but that is what made it good and addicting. I also got Nerve and totally forgot! So excited about it! I bought Enclave on a great deal too. It sounds great.

    Great haul! πŸ™‚
    Enjoy all your lovelies. πŸ™‚

Awesome haul! I definitely can’t wait for the sequel to Enclave! Hope you love it as much as I did. Have you not read Delirium?? Really???? O.o WELL I’m so shocked! It’s one of my favorite reads EVER. Anyway… *eyes Giselle skeptically* I hope you love that one too! So many awesome books, for an awesome blogger. πŸ˜‰

  10. Melliane

I’ll definitely buy the Mira Grant books. SO curious about them. I heard great things about the others but haven’t read them. Happy reading!

  13. Amy

My review won’t be up until the end of the month because yay me, I finally have stuff scheduled ahead!! I really need to read Feed. I have had it since last year. Sounds awesome!! I hope you love Delirium. Great books this week. I miss your face!!

  14. Alisa Selene

I love the cover of Charade..I read ‘Beautiful Disaster’ a few weeks ago..I will be interested to see your review..people have strong feelings about that book positive and negative!

  15. bookworm105

Charade! I loved Masquerade and i’m hoping to read Charade soon. I need to pick up Delirium soon as well. I’ve been wanting to read it for a long time as i like the sound of love been a disease.I’ve heard that Enclave and Beautiful Disaster are really good so i hope you enjoy. πŸ™‚

    Here’s my haul.

  16. A Backwards Story

I forgot to add BEAUTIFUL DISASTER, but I have a review copy of that as well. Eep, I still need to read my copy of ENCLAVE… Yay, you own DELIRIUM now!!! Great deal πŸ™‚

  17. fishgirl182

i still need to read the feed series. i keep hearing good things and i actually met mira over the summer. soon, soon. the future we left behind sounds intriguing, too. i’ll have to keep an eye out for that one. enjoy your new books!

  18. Kristilyn (Reading In Winter)

Ha ha … you’re right about slow Canadian shipping! I find Amazon is quicker than the Book Depository (though I think the latter comes from the UK, so I guess they’re forgiven). Ebooks are awesome — so quick! If I really love a cover, I’ll buy the book — usually online, but sometimes from the bookstore. Thank goodness the bookstore isn’t too close to me or I’d be there ALL THE TIME!

Awesome books this week! I have Beautiful Disaster on my Kobo and can’t wait to read it … I think it’s on my list for this week? And the Mira Grant books look awesome, though I’m still not sure what I think about political thrillers …

    Enjoy your reading!

  19. Eileen

Awesome haul! I’m sure you’ll love Delirium I just loved that one! πŸ™‚ Haha and I hope the second book is worth it! πŸ™‚ I’m not sure what you may feel about Populazzi though because it looks like a chick-lit book

Check out my Stacking the Shelves!

Oohh Nerve and Beautiful Disaster! Hope you enjoy both of them.:)

And I really hope to read Delirium soon. It’s just sitting on my shelf collecting dust.:P

    Happy reading! x]

I totally need to get Enclave! LMBO to the dog sledding but I totally get it because honestly I think that’s how they try to deliver my mail sometimes! I hope you enjoy all of your new pretties this week. If you get a moment here is My Weekly Report

  22. Jenni @ Alluring Reads

Enclave *barf* I so wish that Delirium was on the sale tables here but I haven’t come across that yet, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for it though. I got Beautiful Disaster from NG as you know and I am really excited/nervous to see what all the drama is about with that one.

Thanks for the guest review, I am about 5 chapters into Angelfall now and really liking it! Can’t wait to see where the story goes.

  23. Lucy

Great books Giselle! Good Luck on reading those books! I know you will do just fine! I seem to be horrible at reading right now. :/ *sigh*

  24. Kristin @ My ParaHangover

OMG!! I hate buying e-books that cost as much as regular books!!! I’m so with you on that one!!! I’ve only got a Barnes & Noble here in town and they don’t stock very well so I get stuck in the same situation as you, apparently πŸ™ But when you need a book for your series… UGH!!!

Great books this week!! Nice deal on Delirium to offset the big buys (hee, hee!) And that’s great you’re reading Enclave! I still need to read Aguirre but I’ve heard all sorts of awesomeness about her writing!

Have a great week! My Sunday Post

  25. Shooting Stars Mag

That’s awesome you loved Feed so much. I’ve been dying to read that one for awhile now…sounds like I need to get on it! That’s great you got the next two in the series though, even if you had to pay a bit more than you would normally like

    -Lauren

  26. Cindy

LOl your dog sledding comment made me laugh. I am glad you enjoyed Feed, I’ve wanted to read that FOREVER. Delirium for six bucks?! Great deal πŸ˜€ It’s one of my favorites πŸ™‚

Yay for Instagram, I love it β™₯ and enjoy the books you got, they all look awesome!

  27. Kay

Awesome haul! Had to laugh at the slow Canadian shipping πŸ˜› It’s not too bad where I’m at, but then I get the creepy mailman who stares and asks too many questions, haha!

  28. Christina

I just have to stop by and say AGAIN how happy I am that you loved Feed. It’s seriously one of my favorite books of all time, so I would have been sad if you hated it! Can’t wait to hear what you think of Nerve!
