Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (31)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.
This week at Xpresso Reads

So does everyone have their tree up yet? I plan to put up mine soon! I just got back from the SAnta Claus parade tonight and Alek loved it! Though he was pretty confused as to why this was all happening >.< I love toddlers. OnΒ  the blog this week it was a pretty review only week with just one highly for my fellow Canadians who can enter to win a copy of Love and Other Perishable Items. I did share a couple cover reveals on my Facebook page if you missed any.

So many awesome books this week! I haven’t heard of Indigo Awakening, but now it’s on my radar! It sounds quite interesting.. And the cover for Moonglow is just gorgeous! I can’t wait to see what you think of the book. Happy reading, Giselle!

  2. Kat Balcombe

I’ve been wanting to put my tree up for WEEKS but Mr. Kat won’t let me – he’s making me wait until 1 December, bah humbug!

Vaempires is an interesting read, very action-packed, I liked it when I read it earlier this year.

The Way We Fall was good, but then again I’m a sucker for anything with a virus. That sounds odd…

    Enjoy!

Ooh I don’t think I have come across Moonglow before, so I will have to check that out! Crash looks pretty interesting too, as does Indigo Awakening. Lovely haul this week, Giselle! Enjoy. πŸ™‚

Ohh you got Crash!! I am super dying to read that!! Indigo Awakening sounds really awesome too. I want to read The Friday Society eventually. Sounds like something I would like, but I am waiting to hear more reviews on it first. Great haul chick!! Love the new twitter background!!

Indigo Awakening: Ooh, I want to know about this one. πŸ™‚

Moonglow: This looks a lot like Fury. Which was awful, so I don’t know.

Crash: Tell me if this one is also written in sentence fragments, because I HATE that.

Friday Society: I’ve heard this is pretty great!

Ashes of Twilight: I’ve heard this isn’t. πŸ™

The Way We Fall: I liked this one.

  6. Blythe Harris

So jealous that you got Crash! I can’t wait to see what you think of it – it sounds absolutely amazing and the author has gotten quite a lot of hype (though I haven’t heard the best things about her writing). I also can’t wait to see what you think of Indigo Awakening and The Friday Society! Great haul, girl!

  7. Nick

I got Indigo Awakening as well! I’m excited to read that book! πŸ™‚

Ah, great books! I’ve heard some really awesome things about The Friday Society, so I hope it isn’t disappointing for you, and I’m interested to hear your thoughts on The Way We Fall, because that’s one of this year’s dystopian releases I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on.

    Have a great week, Giselle!

  9. Eden

The Friday Society is SO GOOD. I hope you enjoy it even half as much as I did! πŸ˜€ Ooh, and The Way We Fall I really liked too. I think I might need to check out Indigo Awakening now; that cover is striking. Hoep you enjoy all your books

LOL Kids. I haven’t started Christmas decorating yet! Still riding the Thanksgiving high. We’ll start next weekend when it’s officially December! Great books: Indigo wakening looks good! I am off to check out your Dark House review!

  14. Tom

Wow! Pretty awe-inspiring company. I’m honored to be included. As far as holiday decorating … we actually put up three full-size trees and a number of smaller ones. We started yesterday but won’t be done for a few days. I posted pics on my website last year for anyone interested.

    Tree is up.

Some of the Santas usually have to become helper Santas. But my little one saw someone who looked just like Santa in a restaurant (wearing normal clothes) and went up and asked him if he was Santa. The man just laughed.

My little guy was sure it was the real Santa checking things out and talked about it forever. The will to believe can be very strong.

  19. Shooting Stars Mag

I’m really curious about The Friday Society. I can’t wait to finally see some reviews going up, so I can figure out more about it. That’s awesome you got Crash too. Love Lisa McMann!
