Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (38)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.
This week at Xpresso Reads

How was the first week back at work/school? I hardly had time to drink coffee *blasphemy* so I didn’t even see the freaking week go by! The blog was pretty busy too–especially giveaway wize–I had the Cadet of Tildor tour drop by, as well as the Cinder paperback tour just yesterday with sweet giveaways so check those out! Also, I received extra copies of some great ARCs that I’m giving away here. And I have a giveaway going on at Xpresso Book Tours in case you missed it! ;)

So many fantastic looking books! Really interested in seeing what you think of The Lost Girl.. that’s one I’d really like to get to this year. And The Ruining! I really like the updated cover a lot better. Happy Reading! :)

Oh, the lovelies! I can’t even right now, Giselle, you got so many of my anticipated reads for 2013!

The Book of Broken Hearts’s cover is absolutely amazing. I’m in love with it. Seriously, I’m already planning to buy for the sole reason of the cover- just look at that gorgeous purple color. And the contrast of the orange flower is beautiful. I just love it! I hope the book turns out to be good as well, so I have even more reason to buy it. ;)

Dare You To is also another one I’m super hyped up about! I loved Pushing the Limits to pieces, and I already can’t wait to pick this one up. I hope it’s as good as the first. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea also sounds super unique and creepy, which is always a fabulous combination in books. ;)

Enjoy all your fabulous books, Giselle! <3 Hope they all turn out to be as fabulous as they look. =)

Awesome books!! Prodigy! I hope you love it, as well as The Lost Girl, I still need to read that one. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea also looks really good, and I’ve seen you being excited about it before so I’m very interested to see what you think. Glad you loved Paper Valentine, I love everything Brenna writes.

    Enjoy them all dear!

I need to start that Marie Lu series … I hear it’s awesome! And Brenna Yovanoff! I read The Space Between and really liked it — I still need to read The Replacement, but I do love the cover for Paper Valentine. It’s gorgeous! I’ve also heard really good things about the M. Leighton books!

I hope you enjoy all your reads, Giselle! :)

Nice haul! I need to read Pushing the Limits still, I hear it was awesome, but maybe I’ll wait for the second book to be out so I won’t have to wait if I like it. Love that blog design too, you do so many awesome ones! Have a great week and enjoy your books!

  8. Silverlight

Sea of Tranquility is on my pile for sure! I already drooled over your copy of Between The Devil.. YAY for Down To You–I’m reading Up To Me right now! Enjoy your awesome books!

  9. Paranormal Book Fan

The Sea of Tranquillity is fantastic Giselle, I hope you love it too. And I also got Dare You To, as I think did most of the blogosphere lol, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so far, I’m looking forward to it. Enjoy all your books hun :)

  10. Amy

OMG Ashes on the Waves! AND DARE YOU TO!! *Cries* I got declined for it. (SO weird I am auto approved for Harlequin US, but UK declined me within minutes) I can’t wait to read The Sea of Tranquility. Oh and BTDATDBS!!! That’s just a ridiculously long title to write out, but the book sounds so good!! Awesome haul chicky!!

  11. Renu

Ooh, I saw Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea up on ED the other day, but I decided to wait for more reviews to come in before requesting it. The cover is gorgeous and the synopsis has me intrigued, though. :)

  12. Jenni @ Alluring Reads

The Sea of Tranquility looks so damn good! I can’t wait to read that one, I can’t figure out when it is out though, I think we have another Unltraviolet on our hands dude. Yay for the epic new giveaway, LOVE the name ;-)

  13. Sara (of the Page Sage)

Ashes on the Waves, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and Paper Valentine all look AMAZING. I’ve been dying to read all of them.

Happy Reading! I can’t wait for your review of Ashes and Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea!

  14. Jasprit

I agree Giselle this first week back was super crazy, I wish I could go back on holiday mode! I love your haul this week! So excited about The Books of Broken Hearts, I requested a copy but I’m still waiting to hear back! Also The Ruining and Paper Valentine look gorgeous, I hope the books are just as good! Happy reading! :)

  15. Kara_Malinczak

I totally entered that giveaway and tweeted a couple of times. I better win! ;)

You got some great books this week. I’m not sure if any of them are books that I would want and I am on the fence about a couple of them, but a few good reviews could convince me to try them.

Great cheery and bright blog design this week. I love it!

  16. Christina

*puts on bright green hat of envy* Ashes on the Waves! Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea! Lullaby! WANT!

Note: One of these I am not actually jealous of. Can you guess which?

  17. Nereyda @Mostly YA Book Obsessed

It makes me ridiculously happy to see you getting some NA books. I hope you like them. Hopeless! Read Hopeless! Or any Colleen Hoover book will do but Hopeless!
Dare You To! Can’t wait! I have Down to You too but haven’t read it yet. My sister did and really liked it though. Sea of Tranquility is on my soon-to-be-read list. I haven’t read a Sarah Ockler book yet and I’m not of big fan of this cover…

BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA!!!
Congrats on all the awesome books :)

  18. Ailsa

I’ve never heard of ‘Between the devil and the deep blue sea’, but boy, is that an interesting title and lovely cover! I will definitely have to look out for that one on the review blogs. I also love the cover for Paper Valentine, I can’t wait to hear what you think of those two.
You can see the books I got this week here.
